The Escaflowne series....

I have a problem I have only seen the escaflowne movie and now I have a fried who is offering me the whole serie but I don't know if it is worth the kind of mony he is asking for cos I think the movie wasen't so great....so now I ask for your advise....

Hmm, well, I liked the series up until the end, that last episode just pissed me off, just as much as it confused me. So, I can't really make that call for you. I had a chance to buy it, but passed it up, because of the end. But I don't know what other people thought of the ending, so you can put my vote down as neutral. Hehehe

I haven't seen the movie, so I'm not really sure how it compares to the series, but I liked the series a lot. It involves Hitomi going to Gaia (like in the movie), where a "destiny changing" event is taking place, with massive robots beating the crap out of each other in numerous battles & stuff (I love big robots!! :B: ), but essentially the TV series is a love story. From what I've read on the net & in various anime mags, the film is very different to the TV series. :)

Well I'm a die hard fan of Escaflowne. I haven't seen the movie. But I own the whole series. For the most part I really enjoyed it. The ending was a bit of a let down. But all the episodes that featured Dilandau-sama kicked-ass!
