Oh come on! that's cheating! his arm mutates BECAUSE his normal gun is not really normal. So in essence this "third" gun is just the first one performing another function. :P

Okay then.

It shows up for the first time for us in episode 16. "Fifth Moon". But you later learn that it's also what destroyed the first city talked about in the very begining and with the power plant girl who's city was blown up.

The gun's called the Angel Arm.

no ive been watchin the videos that my friends have cause i got a low budget i usually only see anime from my friends, t.v., and the anime club at my school and luckiley for me at the end of march i am goin to an anime convention.
