Why does Maki doesn't grow???

In BCT-240... Maki never chabges of appearance right?... but then... How can Sottai grow?... she grows from a little eightyearsold like girl into a fully grown up woman like Sylia...

Can any one answer me???

Mackey isn't an inferior model, he is just a failed or botched model. As when he was created he turned out to be to close to humans in make up, wheras Galatea turned out closer to a boomer profile which is what they had wanted.

Mackie is neither an inferior model not a defective one. He's a completely different model. While he is more like humans he also has a knack with machines. Galatea is a different construction. She is able to grow, change and actually effect machines and boomers. She can even speak to computers in their native tongue.

Mackie doesn't grow older because he wasn't designed to. He was a prototype for Galatea, but they made some huge changes when they made Galatea. I don't think that he was meant to be around for as long as he has been, but I could be wrong.
