I found out what happened to Zack. Did you know that if you go to the basement of the Shirina Mansion in Neibenhiem on Disc 3, you get to see a flashback of what happened to Zack. It was totall unexpected. I was trying to learn the Ememy Skill "????" and when I went down there this thing came up. I was totally suprised. But I got a bit confused. Was this before or after Cloud killed Sephiroth. If so how did they get into the Lab. They should have been more powerful that Hojo or whoever owned the Lab. And shouldn't Cloud be stronger than Zack. And I found it interesting that Zack was going to visit Aeris. But he didn't go because her mother would be home. How did he know her. I knew he knew Tifa, but not Aeris. And how he died was a little cheap wasn't it. If he was that powerful, how did he let himself get shot in the back.
But anyway I posted this mainly to say to people that don't know it's there that it is there.

Yeah, I found it too.
It was after they fought sephiroth in the nibelheim mako reactor. It basically reinforces what Sephiroth told Cloud about his life in soldier being an illusion. Zack was the soldier member while Cloud was just a normal shinra gooney but he took on Zack's identity and his sword after they escaped from the mansion and Zack was gunned down.

Zack was probably trying to save cloud when he died.
I think Cloud is probably stronger than Zack, remember when Zack went flying out of the Jenova room in the flashback, well, it was Cloud that managed to throw Sephiroth into the mako.
Also if you go to the shinra mansion and go to the library in the basement, you can read up on cloud and zacks escape. It'll say that subject b (Cloud) reacted to Jenova cells while Zack did not.

It's called "Special Cinema" in the book. Too bad you have to find it because it does help explain Clouds past.
There's something else in the basement too. But I believe you have to be on disc 2 in order to find "it".

Just outside of the library at the top of the screen you can go into a room with a coffin. This is Vincent andwhere you get him to join the party. Just keep talking to him until you can't anymore. When you leave he follows you and joins the party.

I beleve Cloud Was stronger than Zack
Yes, Cloud was not stronger than Zack, but he was also different. Besides, Cloud caught Sephiroth in Jenova's room by surprise, hacking him while he didn't know.
I'm not sure as to when Cloud acquired his "uniqueness" from all the other SOLDIER members. He is... aterall... basically a "good" version of Sephiroth with a fat short blocky sword instead of a skinny long smooth sword... oh... and spicky hair instead of flowing long hair^^; basically, two of a with exact opposite physical features...
Vincent was my best character...cos of his sniper rifle
anyway i never knew he was an ex turk...i can't quite remember the story of him

u can get vincent any time u visit nebilhem, all u got to do is open the safe and get the key, i got him on disc one and on the first time the party reached nehbilhem

I thought it had to be disc 2. Oh! I was thinking about his limit break. Then again I didn't like Vincent that much so I always left him in his coffin everytime I played after the first time.

What I don't get is why Zack would be dead, cuz i remember Sephiroth's mother - Vincent's old flame -saying that the Jenova cells wouldn't let her die... unless Zack is that sick guy in the Midgar slums... Sure he got shot up a bit, but Barret takes an equivalent of bullets before fighting Dyne... and you get machine gunned practically every second battle against robots and soldiers in Midgar.

Ahh... but yes, people injected with jenova cells cal die only when Jenova is eliminated herself... However, this theory only applies to Hojo's "failed" experiments... Cloud and Sephiroth. Notice how they stayed alive despice all the cuts and stabs... oh, and Sephiroth is sort of a "separated" amnity... His body and soul are not one... s'why He was still alive after summoning Meteor.. once meteor is summoned, it takes the life of it's caster... that's why Sephiroth used his "dead" body [not his soul] to cast meteor...
Sure he got shot up a bit, but Barret takes an equivalent of bullets before fighting Dyne...
Those shots weren't intended to hit Barret... they were shot at the ground in front of where Barret stood^^

hrm... i kind of see... but it is an immensely arguable subject, and i better stop thinking about it too deeply or my head will explode...
then if Zack is dead and Aeris is dead, this means Zack and Aeris are together in the lifestream then doesn't it, that sorta puts cloud outta the loop, poor fella... tries so hard hah

Hojo injected jenova cells inside cloud and zack...
zack was an inferior test subject that's why zack is much weaker than cloud

I believe she was referring to the fact that the will of Jenova wouldn't allow her to commit suicide, not that it made her kind of immortal.

I dont think Cloud really went after Aeris but yeh i agree that she does no way compare to other female Square creations! tsk tsk tsk Square!
