if misato and ritsuko have been friend since college, then how can ritsuko be such a bitch to misato. one minute they're hostile to each other, the next they're friends. someone please enlighten me

That's easy, even the best of friends fight from time to time. It could also be the job adding stress to the friendship, as Misato knows that Ritsuko is keeping secrets from her.

yeah thats true, but one other reason why sometimes ritsuko gets hostile with misato is that sometimes misato plans hings for combat that seem impossible or unrealistic to ritsuko.misato does things that sometimes don't make sense and that must make ritsuko angry because their lives are usually at stake.
