yeah sure... actually, i've seen the first two episodes, and though the story {so far} isn't anything special, i am certainly looking forward into giving this Series a chance to be in my top ten list. the animation {with the exception of their noses} is very nice, i like the old scratchy feel they give to it. and the character design seems rather of the expected {which is great compared to most anime out there now}. the mechs look rather boring {as most mechs do now days}. but hey, it has alot of potential. one thing i must point out, is that i didn't even know that there were mechs in the story until i saw these two episodes. then i realised how great that was that people aren't watching it just because it MAY fall under the "Mecha" category. nonetheless, it has great potential and i am looking forward to being a possible contributer to this forum. hope to see you all around eventually. adieu.

Escaflowne is very good series that has great action, likeable characters, and an actual plot! Just wait until you hit the twists near the middle of the series...avoid the spoilers in this forum! Hell doesn't seem that cold anymore...;)

Escaflowne is a really great show. Wait till the third episode, IMO thats where the plot really picks up, you'll be introduced to the bad guys and a new group of good guys in that episode, its where things really get interesting. The show then kick starts around episode 13 or so and from there on has some of the coolest episodes in any anime tv series ever.

Yes, Esacflowne is indeed good stuff. I could understand why you might not think it was anything special at first, but it really does begin to distinguish itself around the third or fourth episode. By the end I feel it's definetly earned a place in the top 10 anime series of all time. I know the mechs aren't colorful, but boring? Nah. I disagree. Still, each to their own. As for the noses, I say better a big nose than no nose at all. *cough* Krillin! *cough*

I can't believe Fox replaced it with Nascar racers. Talk about rubbing salt in the wound!

the Fox kids version is the only version of escaflowne that I have seen. But I can't believe they did that. I mean it was only 26 episodes. And they weren't even showing the first one.
