Go for it! Hey, what kind of response were you expecting if you posted this on the Slayers board? It's certainly worth a look, but you can start with the 2nd season, Slayers NEXT. You really don't have to start at the beginning just as long as you know the main characters.
I reccomend starting with NEXT, because although the original series is good, NEXT is better. It's more likely to get you hooked, ya know? I'd call it a fantasy comedy of sorts. If you've played any Dungeons and Dragons, or wached Record of Lodoss War it's even funnier. See, Slayers makes fun of all that stuff over the course of the series. It has a strong plot in its own right, though.
Plus, you've gotta love Lina. Who says animated characters have to be rolemodels?

You can't also forget mentioning about the movies, because a character appears in them that as far as I can remember doesn't appear in the series itself. This character being Nahga, she is one funny character. My advice is see as much Slayers as you can, but preferably the subbed versions.

my favourite anime of all time, funny and action packed. Naga is the best

yeah...Naga is pretty cool! you probably should start with Next...but it might leave you a little confused...I saw pretty much everything in order, and it worked out fine...of course Slayers Next hadn't been out then...but it's nice to know the characters and how they got together and all that other stuff...

They have Slayers the Motion Picture at my video store. Is that one of the better movies?
