Allow me to take back SOME of the Pokemon comments I made about this show ;). I finally caught an episode, and I must say I was impressed by the animation, the voice acting, and the overall feel of the show. However, the first ep, where she has to catch the first card, did strike me as kind of Poke-ish. However, I will be seeking out more episodes and keeping an open mind, as it was so well done, an so many people here have told me that it is excellent.

Just to clarify, it is 71 episodes and 2 movies so far, right?

Favorite line so far: If you don't dress like a card captor, you might lose face in front of the cards. ep 2.

Hehehehe..... kinda reminds me of the greatest american hero (which just shows how old I am. :P)

Cardcaptors is so much better than Pokemon. There is actually a workable plot and the characters are not shallow. Plus, I'd rather have a bad-ass Clow Card with me rather than an electric yellow rat.

The series isn't bad, but it's VEEEERY repetitive. All episodes are almost the same...

They're only the same until you get to the Sakura Card saga and then it gets really good.

i have only seen the american versian. and i didn't think it was that bad. just out of curiousity, how many tapes are out now?

Only the first two tapes/DVDs are out, but the third is due for release really soon

i have already seen think like 20 episodes and she still keep catching cards with her friend with the camera.

the last episode i saw was her being reduced in size and got chased by a cat and a praying mantis,it is near to the sajura cards saga

Sorry about my bit of disinformation. I downoaded season one and then watched part of the Sakura Card saga and assumed it was second season. What are all the sagas in this show? I've seen parts of the Sakura Card saga and all of season one. That's it.

There are only two story arcs, the Clow Cards saga and the Sakura Cards saga.
The Clow Cards saga rages through the first two seasons, episodes 1-46. Actually, the second season is only 11 episodes and is more like a continuation to the first one, since the first season doesn't have an ending (it ends with the christmas episode). The rest of the episodes, 47-70 are the Sakura Cards saga.
