Thats cause you think of ecchi things when you hear the title Oog. ;)

Well here's a review i found on whateverwasthenameofthiswebsite.com

Boing, boing, boing. That's what will be going through your head as you sit through any episode of Amazing Nurse Nanako. Not since Aika has there been this much fan service in a show — with Aika, however, it was panty shots, and with Amazing Nurse Nanako, it's breast shots. Also, like Aika, Amazing Nurse Nanako has a serviceable plot that's ruined by the fan service. Amazing how two shows with no connection to each other can come out exactly alike.
The big failing here is that while you want to be interested in the storyline, and you want to follow the characters and figure out what's going on, your thought process is interrupted every 30 seconds by Nanako running, jumping, falling down, being touched by some pervert, doing push-ups, jumping jacks — whatever it takes to get Nanako's chest in motion. Naturally, Nanako has to go through rigorous physical training in order to complete her goal. I wonder why they had her do that.

Despite the plot problems, Amazing Nurse Nanako isn't all bad. There are a few amusing bits in it, and the animation is really quite good for a modern OVA series. The robots in it are suitably "toyetic" (Thanks to Robert Shannon for this marvelous word, meaning "looks like it was created to have a toy made of it") and the character design isn't bad. The music is purely standard anime fare, with electronic instruments accompanying comic and action scenes with a minimum of intrusion. Background work is well done, and the digital-looking camera moves aren't as distracting (Perhaps I'm just getting used to them). If you can get past the fan service — which you can't, I tried - Amazing Nurse Nanako really isn't that bad. For otaku who love fan service, it'll be a dream — for otaku who like their anime with some kind of substance, it's a nightmare.

They gave it 68% D+

Like Foryth said, there's a heckuva lot of innuendo-driven comedy. If you can get past all that, you'll see that there is some weird appeal. It's a guy series, hands down.

One thing, if they're training her so they can use her brain, then why the hell does she have to go through all that physical punishment? Yeek, we guys are so weird. It's not bad, really. Like a really, really watered-down version of Ogenki Clinic. Then again, that stuff was plain nasty.

Its not necessarily her brain that the Dr. Ogami is after. But I won't spoil what it is either.

I've seen all the episodes and its definitely fanservice. Not a single doubt about it. Many female viewers will probably be turned off by it.

The plot is...strange. Its not till the third episode that they start raising questions about Nanako's past and its not really till the last two episodes that you really learn about her. As for the episodes themselves, they really don't seem like they have much to do with one another, and well that still seems to be the case now that I know how it ends. Lots of jiggling, lots of wackiness, some pretty wierd character personalities, and did I mention the jiggling? Hell, on the DVD its even in the menus. ;)

I bought the "Memories Of You" DVD today and you're right, it's really bizarre but oddly attractive... :confused2: I love Toshinari Yamashita's character designs (he did Burn Up W! too). The menu is pretty cool, and I got a clear Nanako standup thingy with it!

I think all the Nanako DVDs have a little standee in them. I'm not at home right now to check mine.
