I am going to kick myself in the head... i missed out on 21 minutes of this morning's episode of DBZ :(

I managed to turn on the tv when Frieza was at Guru's place and Nail was their and 3 Nameks were just arriving at Guru's...

I have no idea what i missed in those 21 mins... anyone can help me :(

Here is summary of today's episode:
Well Captain Ginyu let Goku out of his hold and ordered Jase to stop helping. He then asked Goku to show his true strength which he does by powering right up, I forget exact amount though (160-180,000 I think it was). I was surprised the scanner didn't break again. Captain Ginyu and Jase throw a couple of rocks at Goku while he is powering up and they are blasted right back at them. Cpatain Ginyu and Jase can't believe his power level is so high and think he might be the Super Saiyan type Frezia was worried about. But Captain Ginyu then realises Goku has not reached full Super Saiyan status yet and that he doesn't like to kill when Goku offers several times to let them leave without harm.
Krillin and Gohan find the Bulma is missing and go looking for her since they need the DragonBall scanner.
Guru opens Dende's power level up and Nails return to protected him too. Frieza arrived soon after that wanting the password from Nails. 3 other Nameks arrive wanting revenge on Frieza for killing their villages and Nails tries to warn them off. The 3 nameks attack Frieza and are blasted of by a breath from Frieza which causes a whirlwind to blast then right off. She then threatens one of those Nameks who still refuses to give the password and drops him from sky then blasts him again. Frezia then asks Nails for the password again and Nails then tells Frieza that Guru is required for the Dragonballs to work and should not be harmed since he is old and frail too. Frieza then blasts a window of the place open and goes in to see Guru, the episode then ends..

We have not seen Nails fight Frieza yet in Australia so that was a spoiler all right.

Yeah, I remember that episode. The next episode, however, should be really weird! I know it confused me. ;)

That episode was really freaky, though. That fight was weird. But I won't go into details. :\ Don't want to ruin it for anyone else.

Oh, I noticed you guys have begun the battle of Ginyu and Goku. Man, that one's even weirder than the one I described in the spoiler. :)

Oh, I see. I thought that the Nail thing was kinda weird. But, couldn't Ginyu have used his ability versus Freeza? That is, if Freeza didn't know of it (first time facing him), and he was close enough.

Well, maybe he has a loyalty to Freeza for some reason. (He looks like he could be related to Freeza in some way).

Perhaps, but, I remember Ginyu saying that the Ginyu force was made up of mutants (of some sort). I don't know. . .even if he was related. . .he would still probably want to get full power. . .maybe he knows that he isn't powerful enough to control Freeza's power, and might kill himself trying.

Just like the first Super Saiya-jin! Ah-ha, I am catching on!!

Oh, and I don't remember that thing about mutants. But, then again, I missed a couple of season three. :(

The first Super Saiya-jin was just berserk, afaik, but Freeza said that he didn't stay in his final form because it was a power so great, he couldn't fully control it. I guess it's the same thing though.
And about the mutant part, I forgot when it was said, but I know it was. (I'll look through the manga if I ever remember). I believe that it'll be said soon though, by Ginyu.

Well, I still don't remember it ... :\ But, like I said, I missed a few episodes, so ... I probably missed it.

Oh, I've got a question. How could you manage to estimate Porunga's power level?

I can't :)
I just know that Porunga wouldn't be that strong. I guess I could estimate it to be about 2,000, as Shenlon is extremely weak, but looks strong. Why would you need to know Porunga's power level though?

Yuusuke, I didn't really need to know it. I was just curious as to how you could guess. So, how'd you know Shenlon's, then?

Well, I guess Shenlons from a few things, though I believe I was off by a bit. Piccolo Daimouh killed Shenlon (and his power level was quite low). That meants that Shenlon couldn't have a power level of anywhere near 500. I think that Piccolo Daimouh would have a power level of around 300 at the time, and Shenlon was killed extremely easily against Piccolo Daimouh (one blast, though Shenlon didn't defend, he was disapearing). I then guessed that if he died from the blast, 200 would sound like a reasonable power level for him.

And, uh, I guess that Shenlon died in DB, not DBZ. So, why'd Piccilo Daimouh kill him?

Shenlon died in Dragonball (to confirm what you said), and then Kami just remade him (can do that easily, since he has everything ready). Piccolo Daimouh wished for his youth back. He then killed Shenlon so no one could use the dragon for anymore wishes (selfish, ain't he).

Well, he's pretty greedy. And he didn't wish for anything like world happiness or whatever.

Um. . .a demon lord Piccolo wishing for world happiness? :lol:
I just think he didn't want someone wishing to learn Mafuba (a technique that can seal him up, strangely enough, in a rice cooker with a spirit ward). (Or wishing for a person who could defeat him to be resurected).

And, hey, it was a thought. I mean, if Piccilo Daimouh wished for world happiness and then killed Shenlon, then it wouldn't have been as greedy, now would it? ;)

If Piccolo Daimouh had wished for world happiness, then he wouldn't be the evil half of Kami, would he? :)
Oh, and then he might be trapped in a rice cooker again.

Yeah! Maybe he enjoys being in rice cookers, and then wished for happiness so that he'd be permenantly trapped in one!

Goku's exact amount was 180,000 when at maximum power. 90,000 when at normal strength.
