The ending is called 'Touch and Go.' Also the opening song is actually called 'Carnival Babel.' If you watch a DVD or tape of the series, you can get a translation for both. I'll warn you though that the translation of the opening makes no sense whatsoever. It's one of those songs that really does not translate well. Add that to the nonsense english phrases and it's confusng as hell.

Sounds nice, though. Fits the images in the title sequence, too.

yea what exactly is "foxy night game" ?? ^_^;;;

Dryden-san

Why, the term is self-explanatory Bomberman! A "foxy night game" is simply a game, played at night, which involves being foxy. Example: a game of poker played between the hours of 6 pm and 4 am is a "foxy night game."

so how do you "pick me up" a "foxy night game"

Dryden-san

The answer is simple, Kusanagi. The phrase "pick me up," refers to a loose, informal method of choosing players. Example: a pick up game of basketball. Therefore, the entire phrase, "pick me up foxy night game," refers to midnight basketball. If we consider the previous line, the choral chant of "mysterious tokyo," then the meaning of the song is clear. It refers to a game of midnight basketball being played in Tokyo.

and what's the "loneliness like a labyrinth" have to do with a pick-up game at night?

i should be answering these, but i really don't understand the theme song at all. one of the weirder ones lyrically ... at least some others make sense to the story (AKA Eva, Irresponsible Capt. Tylor)

'Mysterious Tokyo' sucks, not to mention the CGI used for the opening to the opening.

the CGI is crappy, i'll give you that... but "Carnival Babel" is a catchy mofo of a song.

I freely admit that the CGI is crappy and the lyrics make no sense in English, but I still enjoy listening to it. Musical taste is different for every person. The line about loneliness and labyirnths refers to the twisted maze of streets that make up Tokyo, one the reasons it is such a mtysterious city. It is also a metaphor for the loneliness one feels while winding through those streets, looking for the game of midnight basketball.

PS: I can keep this up for a long time. Try me.

Nah, you've made your point, I do admit, the music is ok, and it does grow on ya', but the lyrics just throw me off. Maybe if I could find an instrumental version.

Actually, when I said 'Try me,' it was a challenge for you to find a lyric in the song that I can't justify in my explanation. I have no life, but I AM creative.

Uhmmm, how 'bout this?
"Pick me up foxy night game?" What the hell does that got to do with anything?

Since you're on a roll Dryden-san, what is "Take it easy dangererous night" mean? Should you be careful and take it easy while wandering the mysterious streets of Tokyo looking for a midnight game of basketball? Remember this is all in good fun.

You got it in one, man. The night seems dangerous, but Tokyo's streets are nice and safe (unless you get eaten by a fern with an attitude). So take it easy.

well!! have anyone have the whole translation to the song???

Dryden-san

Thing is, nobody really knows about the series (hopefully that will change soon, though) so the soundtrack isn't very popular and nobody has the complete lyrics posted anywhere. If you want the complete translation, the best advice I can give is to rent a tape and start transcribing. I might get around to it eventually, in order to prove my midnight basketball theory, but I've got too much work to think about it right now. College; it can be a pain, sometimes.
