KIDs *hardcore spoilers*

i saw on someone's web site that the kids that tachibana labs experimented on were the knights. is that true? if it is, that would explain a couple things.

in LAYER:05 DISTORTION, we are shown that the Knights are involved with some kind of DISTORTION of the Real World. here {whenit shows Mika kneeling in the street}, we are also introduced to the Knights Symbol.

in LAYER:06 KIDS, they describe that KIDS was an experiment derived and preformed long ago by Dr.Hodgeson. and in the KIDS experiment, they were trying to extract the Psi energy from the young childrens' minds. unfortunately, once all of this extracted Psi was combined, all the Children were immediately killed by the explosive enegy field. the Proffessor also suggests that the one of the goals of the Knights is to reenact the KIDS experiment; they hope to be successful.

in LAYER:07 SOCIETY, we get a small glimpse of who the Knights are and what they're doing. {shipping illegal Navi upgrades to certain people in particular}

in LAYER:08 RUMORS, we meet the Knights... only you don't know it yet.

in LAYER:09 PROTOCOL, we find out that the Knights have been giving Lain upgrades too, like the Psyche. and that Taro is a sort of "middleman" for the Knights. and that the Knights wish you get rid of Lain.

in LAYER:10 LOVE, Lain Searches and posts all the names of the Knights on the Wired News Pages.. and the Knights are found dead in apparent suicide. the Knights shown were: 1...that fat guy eating Cheetos. 2...the business man with a fancy for womens' legs. 3..."Mom, I lost. It's your turn. If you won't, I will continue it. Mom, I'll beat them." and we also find that Eiri created the Knights to believe in him so that he could be a God...without believers he's no God...but Lain believes in him.


overall, when Lain talks with Dr.Hodgeson, they CLEARLY STATE {by LAINwired's screaming "Stop it. Stop it!"} that the Kids used in the KIDS experiment were destroyed.

here's the Dialogue from the Scene:
HODGESON
You look very life-like, Young lady.

LAIN
What is KIDS?

HODGESON
What a calm time. Until my body in real world rots, I want to stay calm.

LAINwired
You must know what happened. What is KIDS?

HODGESON
Beautiful time. Silence like eternal.

LAINwired
Prof. Hodgson. Let me see the data of the experiment 15 years ago.

HODGESON
I didn't want to let children in danger.

LAINwired
Not 15 years ago, But the play which children are doing now. Isn't it a reproduction of your experiment 15 years ago?

"Psi", super Psychological power. Almost all kids have it even it is very small. It's not much of ESP, just for intuition and a physical force bend just a coin.

I broke them completely never to be restored. But the schematics of the machine was spilled out somewhere in the Wired, and precipitated.

Someone has found it out.

They updated it to function without the "Outer Receptor". It was really great that they could function so widespread by only emulation of it.

The children won't return to real world, no matter what I think. Moreover, I don't know about the current children...

Dr. hodgson only said that the childeren would never return to the real world. So are they gone and completly destroyed. I think no but you could argue the contrary. Are they the knights? No. the knigts that we knew all had bodies and existed in the real world in some form. However you could argue that the knights are still in the wired like Eiri and Chisa and that kid with the gun. sorry i don't know his name. i guess im not a hard core lain analyst like i thought.

ok, i guess in re-reading it, this person did say at the begining of the whole thing that this is there opinion. but know after re-reading it, this person says that KIDs was "perpetrated by the knights." so now my question is, did the knights have anything to do with KIDs?
