I've heard alot about this series and want to see what it's like but can't seem to find it. Is this anime really any good?

I'm a big fan of El Hazard as you can probably tell by my name :) Yeah its great. Check out hte original OAV first before the TV series.

Yep, Ura is definitely right ...make sure you check out the original OAV series before the TV series. Pioneer sort'a did the same thing with El Hazard as they did with Tenchi Muyo; Instead of making the series longer and giving it more depth they made more than one storyline for the same animation title. *sigh* :confused2

As an example, the difference between the El Hazard OAV series and the TV series is similar to the difference between Tenchi OAV and Tenchi Universe. (Same characters, completely different story, way characters meet ..etc. etc.) It's a bummer, but Pioneer has made two sequels to the OAVs (El Hazard2 & Alternative World) ...which is nice :D

El Hazard was just sooo funny, one of my favorite with love hina.

If you wanna get it, my recommendation will be El Hazard the Magnificient world, the best OAV, the other OAV were quite disappointing...

get it (El Hazard the Magnificient World), It's all good.
