Nakago's the evil twit that you just love to hate but can't help but admire... then again, are his actiosn justified? He was a but a little tyke who's people were eliminated in a flash by the country that he had sworn his life into... not to mention he killed his mother out of disgust... blink blink* big explosion killing everyone?

The emperor who had taken him in was so taken by his beatiful face... he raped him... nods* now... Nakago, all this time keeps his emotions bottled up planning to take over the world... and later, he plans to take over Miaka and Yui's dimension. is that still justified? he keeps blaming how the world sucks and he wants it to suck even more?

Now, do recall that a person can either develop into someone good or bad through bad experiences... with Nakago... it seems that HE IS good at heart... he did save Soi from being raped when she was a kid, still, he keeps his heart away... he's cold...and he wants to hurt people and at the same time... he feels sorry for doing it... you probably don't notice it... he is kinda jealous of tamahome and Miaka and probably part of why he likes to play with those two is because he wants to be able to have the same kind of relationship with Soi? but... why... he pushes her away...

is he justified? He's a very complicated character... i can't understand him... but he's kawaii...

Well this raises the whole question of whether or not you're justified in lashing out at the world if you bad a crummy childhood. For the record, Nakago is EVIL! Don't think he isn't just because his experiences twisted him. Now, did he have a reason to do the things he did? Yes, he did. A childhood like that would warp anyone. But justifiable? No. He did not just kill the emperor of Kutou. He hurt and killed dozens of innocent people, even when he had no reason to. Tamahome's family comes to mind, and there is the little matter of the war he started just to get what he wanted. He tortured and toyed with Miaka, Yui and Tamahome far beyond his actual needs because it amused him. He used his allies like tools to fufill his own selfish desires. He made a great villain becuase he was so evil.

Do I feel sorry for Nakago? Yes, but I mourn for Nakago the child. Nakago the man got what he deserved.

well...

before you can judge Nagako...
try looking at Nagako's perspective then i think you will understand why he's a twisted evil character...

Well, ya do gotta feel sorry for the guy... I can see where he went wrong, but still... Lots 'o people have messed-up childhoods, but do they go psycho and kill everyone? Ok, some of them do, but not all of them ^_^. ;;

Well, Nakago shoudn't take it out on Miakas world because they had nothing to do with hhis parents death. just get revenge on the people that killed them. He is just a twisted person, evil.

World domination is everyones dream... so why not do it by any means necessary if you have the means?

On a serious note.... personally i think with the amount of child hood scars that Nakago had to deal with, he probably feels that his actions are justified..... Me? If i looked at it from his perspective I would agree with him too.

He's a bad guy but I hate Tomo thousand times more than him. Although I dislike him, he was pretty cool in the OVA. *He only showed up for a few min.* :P I feel sorry for him though. That doesn't mean he can go killing ppl and trying to take over the world. Not only that but another dimension. What a greedy guy.

Does he feel his actions are justified? Of course he does; I would to after a childhood like that, but that isn't the issue here. We're talking about whether he was justified, period. Was he justified? No. See my previous post in this thread.

I would have to agree with Dryden-san on this one.
