Let's just say, that as heroines go, Lina Inverse is probably the best one in all of anime. Why? Because she doesn't act like a heroine! I tell you, after watching Slayers, I just don't have the same repsect for the likes of Miaka and Yui. Sphyliel I enjoy in small doses. It would be MOST enjoyable to see how she progressed with learning black magic. Plus a romantic tug of war between her and Lina would be interesting to watch. I'll give her credit; when she does actually show up she's always needed. Still, she gets far too much prominence for my taste.

I liked the way that she popped in at the end of the series. I like Lina's antihero personality too. Her short temper and the way she likes to throw around her imense magical power.
