What is the story

Well, I've been thinking is there an actual plot to Ranma 1/2 besides the fact he has to find the Spring of Drowned Man to turn back to normal?

They have like to-be-continued episodes, so you can't hop in on the middle of those, too.

I've read a little of a grpahic novel but it's the same novle which was for Season 3 Episode 1 where Ukyo comes, I've seen the first 2 moviues and near the end of season 3 but i dun wanna rush it cause the animes been amazing!

Less'e. . I really doubt that Kunou's Nest and the Tunnel of Lost Love were based on the manga.
The story with Shinnosuke and Ryugenzawa was taken from the manga ^_^;
The Cursed Jewel and Christmas Scramble episodes. . no idea on **;;
'Err. . well, Miss Hinako and Ranma's mom were both taken from the manga, of course. . though I'm sure that the manga introduced them differently. ^^

So do I. . 've only read volumes 1-14 of the manga. . and a lot of random stuff after that. . ^^;; Among others, th' Shishi Houkodan story and the mushrooms one. . *snicker*

'Erm. . 've seen all of th' OAVs, though. . they're probably th' best Ranma episodes there are. . . that, and the first season. . ^_^;

Hnn. . an' some parts of th' second season were really nice. . like th' Bakusai Tenketsu story. .

I'm not sure if she's ever introduced in th' anime. . but in the manga, she's added mainly for Ryouga's sake. . *blinkblink* 'Erm. . she's someone who likes Ryouga even with his curse. . and partially because of his curse ^_^;;;

And to simplify it a bit. . Rumiko Takahashi added Akari to the story mainly to be coupled with Ryouga ^^;;

Saffron was. . well, a phoenix-god, more or less. Hnn. . less'e. . I never read more then th' very end of th' manga issues with him in it. . ;_; . . but he was pretty much the final enemy that Ranma faces, I believe.

Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, and Inu Yasha. . 've seen at least some of each (and lots of some others), they've all been great. . ^^;;;

Wee! just to add to this, I've got Ranma ½ manga volumes 1-17 (I think that's everyone that's been translated to english so far). Volume 16 introduced Pantyhose Tarou (I found it funny that the cover had Tarous cursed form in it from a later episode, when he had changed his curse so that he had the octopus tentacles on his back), and that was also the only major story in it. 17 had the Kuno and the melons story and Ukyos Secret Sauce (titled The Sauce of Ten Years)..I hope I'm talking about the same plot here.

Anyways, I like Tarous wardrobe in the manga better than in the anime, even though it's not that different. The shirt(?) in the manga looks so cooool on him.
