did misato kill kaji

No it was not Misato! The person who killed Kaji is just one of those things that you just arn't meant to know. But people come up with all these crazy theories (including the Misato one) to try to explain it. The director, Hideaki Anno said in no uncertain terms that it was not Misato, so I take his word for it.

It's from the series...can't say what ep off hand..the one where Kaji abducts Fuyutski and SEELE interogates him on Gendo's intentions. While there are some scenes that may make it seem Misato did in fact kill Kaji, she did not

And for those who think she did kill Kaji, my opinion is as valid as yours and please do not sully this excellent message board with insults and flame wars...I'm sure Eva2000 wouldn't appretiate this :D

I say this because this argument regularly disintergrates into petty name calling and insults etc

Ok, my opinion, no Misato did not kill Kaji.
And i think that it is here that eva2000 ups in the relevent link to where this has been discussed before.

Of course if there is new discussion on this i will be happy to hear it and reply, but i can only ask that you read what has been written previously by other people and not make us all rewrite our often lenghty rants.

ahhh, the very popular "who killed kaji" question! - so history does repeat itself! :lol:

anyway, here's what i think, - Misato didnt kill Kaji. the most likely suspect (for me) would be his contact (remember the lady who was feeding cats? - why? when he is first seen with her, they meet at a warehouse, and where does Kaji die? in a warehouse. but i have to concede to the fact that like most Eva mysteries, this one will remain unsolved.

why would Misato KILL Kagi?????????? werent they like trusted with eachother? or am i thinking of the wrong guy. kagi was the guy who brought misato and ritsuko to the bar, then misato got drunk then asuka kissed shinji. Um. . .you've seen the later episodes of Evangelion, right? (The episode in which Kaji dies).
They do a lot of things in that episode that would make you think that Misato killed Kaji, but I will agree that Misato definately did not kill Kaji (for reasons explained in the old message board).

ive seen some of them, but not that one. I am just making predictions on who killed him. I think it was Ikari. (not the one that posts on here :D )it's just a gut feeling i have. That guy gives me the creeps. Anyways.... just my opinion.

I doubt Commander Ikari ( :) ) killed Kaji but he very well have ordered the killing since the abduction of Fuyutski would have been proof that Kaji was a double agent...working both for and against NERV.

But I doubt that

Um. . .really, I'm not going to say anything about that.
But, how about this. Maybe Freeza killed Kaji. He used his super powers to go into the Evangelion universe, and then killed Kaji (Note: Kaji knew of Freeza's true reason for killing Planet Vegita). He then used his powers to go back into the Dragonball universe quickly enough that no one knew that he had done anything.

Misato did not do it because if you remember she was in solitary confinement when Kaji was murdered, the guard said when she left something in the area of the matter has been taken care of, honestly I think it was Gendou based on 2 loose facts:

1) The gun sound is exactly the same as the shot fired at Ritsuko in EOE. This also shows that he carrys a pistol.

2) kaji knew the person who killed him I think when he simply said "You're Late"

So disembowel my argument if you want but I am 100% sure that Misato did not do it.

well what I would also like to know did kaji kidnapp Fuyutski on Nerv's orders? Kaji is standing in a phone box and he looks at this NERV card that is red, with his name on it, and refering to the card he says "ahh my last mission/assignment, and its red like blood". why would he refer to his last mission as if it was given to him by NERV and then abduct Fuyutski for SEELE, if Gendo didn't mean for him to do it?????

Misuto asks the guard where Kaji is and the guard replies "I wouldn't know " then someone turns up and shoots Kaji. Then Misuto crys when she hears Kaji message, after hes dead, but she wasn't told he was killed, as far as she was told was that Fuyutski had been returned and 'section 2' didn't know where Kaji was......
Also Misuto had held a gun to kaji's head before when he broke into central dogma, she also found Kaji breaking in without anyone elses help.

You answered your own question, Kaji was not kidnapped by Nerv but by the comittee, these are completely different bodies, each doing its own work. Nerv is just there to stop the Angels its is Seele and the Comittee who take care of other projects such as Human Instrumentality. Fuyutski was just kidnapped to find out what Ikari and nerv were up to.

I think she did not kill him... In the tv series, the scenes of the 'Liberation of Misato' and 'Kagi's assessination' are not a chain... the occur at the same time...

But... Misato did knew what was going to happen...
