movie questions

ok, a few tough questions about eoe:

1) during the 3rd impact dipiction there is sweeping scene, which pans down from looking up at eva01 and the series down to the floating geofront. they seem to arranged in some kind of symbol (slow-mo or pause) that looks a bit like a cross between a toyota and a mercedes emblem. is anyone familiar with this symbol?? is it another religious thing??

2) in the playground/sand castle bit, there is a long static shot, just before(?) shinji smashes the castle. which i can't figure out. there is a small thing (person?bird?) looking over an edge?? what is this scene of?? there is a bird/insect noise with it. the picture quality is deliberately grainy, but i can't work it out at all?? anyone??

3) during the second psych bit where the screen is flashing mess and voices are saying "i hate you etc", are all the voices characters from the series, or others like with the add?? i'm not familiar with the japanese voices enough to tell.

ill repeat my others too:

4) does anyone know who the 3 women in the real-life crowd shots are??

5) does anyone know where the shots of the cinema crowd are??


i realise these are ridiculous questions, but hey, it's worth a try right?? :)

is it possible for you to get a series of pics to show what you mean?

i have the tape, but no batteries in my remote, and pause/slowmo is only capable from my remote. (also i hate sitting through it in fstforward, like i have done a number of times.)

If you can get these i might be more helpful :)

ok, with the counter reset as soon as the red cross end of evangelion title comes up (all these bits are in ep:26).

1) 19:46 (nerv computer guy saying something about the eva series passing level E)
this is only shown for about 10 frames, but it is definately some kind of circular symbol.. anyone?

2) 11:51 - 12:03
i think its some kind of stage equipment setup, but i can't tell

3) 24:30 - 25:33
i know asuka and misato's voices are in there, but i cant tell if there are more?

and in the eoe tv ad

To answer #5, I believe that the audience shots were taken during the Symphony of Eva concert.
Which ties into #4; I don't think the women are anybody in particular.

sorry, but i am not good with face recognition at the best of times, and just cant tell if they are the same women from the ad for eoe. do we know who they are? or are they specifically "strangers" ?

What complicates things more is that we probley all have differing versions. I remember people saying that the final end is especially shocking because there are no ending credits. On the version I saw there is, and also there is some promo at the end advertising Anno's new project?

The version I saw also had the promos to the movies screened before D:R and an intermission between D and R.

I know the symbol you are talking about Fasad. It appears when the Eva series AT field 'resonate' as someone says.
Don't reckognise it though.

the version i have is off the ld (i think). both d&r and eoe have their ads/previews that were shown in japan for the movie. it confused me at first when i sat down to watch d&r - there is dialogue in the first two ads that isn't from either of the movies or the series!

the ending is great with no end credits... just fin

anno made "love & pop" after eoe - i haven't seen it.

i think i'll have a go at drawing that symbol - its not when the series resonate, that's the sephiroth thingo(?). im sure its got some significance

I am REALLY REALLY curious... I ahve no idea what you are tlaking about and my fansubs have been locked away... grrr..

I only guess that they would be the characters from NG.

Yes the orginal voice actors of Rei, Asuka and Misato.

ah yes I've read about that. next issue of Manga Max has a feature on it so i'm looking forward to it.

and does anyone know where I can get a shot of this Live action scene? I could probably tell you if they were the original VA's (though someones probably already confirmed it)
