Alright, now that both sieries are out and known which do you think is better. is it the original 80's ova or the new CG enhanced and detailed TV. Myself I go for the original, sonoyan(kenichi sonoda) is a god.

Though I agree that Kenichi Sonoda is a god, I must agree with the masses in this case...2040 all the way!

I like the original OVA's better than the new series although I do like the new series. I just think that their personalities are better and i like the original artwork too.

I like the 2032 Knight Saber background better.. I mean there wasn't a lingere shop owner who also has a couple of ultra-high-tech hardsuits tucked away in her basement... at least there was an explanation for it in the 2032 eps.
however, the 2040 K-Suits and AD police in general where a bit better... Leon went from just cool to ultra-cool... and still managed to get dissed by Priss.
and the great line of
ADP commander: "Watch your fire! We want her alive for questioning!"
K-Suit Pilot: "I'm sorry sir. Its dark in here. I might 'miss'."

2032 still does it for me to be honest.
I know the animation is incredible in 2040 by comparison, as well as the fact that it is longer and generally more coherent than the rather disjointed OAV series, but 2032 just has some indefinable quality which makes it work and hang together as a series, and 2040 can't quite match it.
And besides, they made Nene a blond, which is heresy!

Sorry ladies and gents, but Bubblegum Crisis (for us old anime fogies out there we just call the original just BGC) is the best out of the two.
It is just like Transformers. I grew up on the original and now I see beast wars and how they butchered it it is kinda depressing.
Original for both: Transformers and BGC

I prefer the newer series personally. The characters in the original were a lot less interesting, almost bland. They didn't seem to have as much drive.
Macky was also a blatent wierdo, fair enough he's a young boy and liked to sneak a look at the girls while they were naked but his own sister ?
Nene makes more sense in the new series, she provides technical support for the others. In the original she mostly just cowered while the others did the fighting.
The Knight Sabers mercenary status in the original was strange as well. They relied upon contract work to fund their operation. Sylia being rich in the new series makes better sense.
