Anybody seen this series because I am wondering if it was worth finishing. I just picked the dvd up yesterday because I didn't have enough to start Utena (which I'll start at the end of this week). Even though it wasn't I wanted it seems ok, but I am still unsure about it.

personaly the OAV was too short for me. I like the TV show a whole lot better. Is that what you got? IMHO Battle Atheletes is hella cute and really addicting. I just love the University Satellite outfits. If you watch long enough you'll find yourself saying "I want one of those uniforms!". Heh heh.

Battle Athletes Victory is listed as an "essential" by animeondvd.com.

That said, I bought the series and its interesting and it definitely had its moments. But, it gets very serious and spiritual towards the end, even though it starts out as a fairly comical series.

Personally, I enjoyed it... but I haven't seen Utena so I can't really say which would be a better use of funds.

Thanks, it looks like I will finish it up later, but I was skeptical because it was a little too goofy. It seemed like they were trying using ever trick or gag to get you to laugh (some scenes were very funny though). If it gets a little serious as you said then everything should be ok.
