kenshin the movie vs. kenshin the series!

i just started watching the movie (dutch subbed) and i think that it is very cool, but i woul d like to know the difference between the movie and the series. could someone please help me? :)

I saw a copy of it at suncoast and REALLY wanted to get it... It it a new story or just the kenshin series shoved into a movie?

Don's comment is pretty much on target. Not worth buying, just rent it. I guess if you really really like RK then go watch it, but compared to everything else out there, it's pretty average (sub par almost IMO). I was kind of foolish and just went out and bought it when I saw it on the shelf. At least it was on sale :P

The movie itself is decent. One of the better studio-created stories... if not, the best.

One thing though... *spoiler free*

Do they need to show that flashback every 30 seconds? Man was it irritating... ^_^;;

That was the best story? at least I can save money now :|. anyhow, that flashback scene did get on my nerves, I mean, is the budget THAT BAD in order to show that scene almost full length 3+ times??? not like you're going to forget a scene in a movie that's an hour and a half (our attention spans aren't that short, I think, wait, what was I talking about?)

Well, there's that Akumasa Hen (I forgot the name, it was that Christian swordsman). That was okay. There are some good funny filler episodes... but then again, all the funny ones make me groan most of the time. ^_^;;

The name is Shogo Amakusa. As for the original topic the movie revolces around the same flashback way too much. Anyways I wouldnt suggest buying it unless you want to have a complete collection of the RK vidoes.
