Hi,
My first post here <grin>, but 'tis a bit of a stumper. I have not been able to find an answer anywhere.
The statue is the 'angel' that Kaoru is sitting on when he and shinji first meet, and I am almost certain that it is a real sculpture.
Do any of you have any info at all?

congratulations on being the 100th member to register for the board.. I remember that scene you're talking about (even think i have a picture of it in my gallery ?) but I am clueless to even hazard a guess at what the statue was/is...
although i am the owner of the board and site, there's so many eva experts that are members of this board and am sure one or more of them have the answer...

If I remember the scene correctly, I think I remember seeing a similar statue. It's commonly called Victory (or Nike) of Samothrace.
