Metal Angel Marie

Okay bear with me here - has anyone seen Metal Angel Marie?? For Brisbanites it can be found at the Albany Creek Video Ezy.

Anyway, it totally screwed with my mind - especially episode three with the dream sequence. It was truly bizarre. I may even go so far as to say it was approaching Akira-levels of bizarreness. Really good watching for two o-clock in the morning when everything's starting to feel a little bit fuzzy anyway!!

Anyone else seen it? Any opinions?? BTW, did anyone think Marie's attitude to the other Marie (the clone/robot) was weird?? Far out, how would you be meeting a semi-clone of yourself?? I wouldn't be sitting down and eating lunch/playing tennis with her, that's for sure!!

I really loved the closing sequences, with the songs and the scenes from a childhood that never happened, I thought it was really insightful and touching.

Yes i have seen it. and posted about it awhile ago now.

i thought it had potential but missed the point. I did not think it was bizaar at all. otherwise not muc to say, a have also only seen those first 3 eps.

I am dying to see the whole of serial experiments lain.

Metal Angel Marie? Isn't it Boku No Marie? Oh well. I really liked the series. I want to read the manga but can't read Japanese very well. And Yuko Miyamura is so cool!! She did the voice for Karigari Marie. That is cool, she is my favourite seiyu!

I have seen the first few shows, I want to see more but I can't seem to find it anywhere, yes, that is strange, the dreams she was having, what's the deal with the ball? That was crazy... anyhow I think it's a great show, like I said I want to see more!!!

As Ath said it sort of lost it in the third ep... I didnt like that ep, the first two were pretty good....

Metal Angel Marie was pretty good, it gave me a few good laughs, but like most people, I got a bit confused at times. Anyways, the ending confused me a bit. Marie kissed Marie, right? Was it because she loved her? The episodes were cute. Is there only one tape of Metal Angel Marie? That's what I've heard, but I'm not sure...
