Just how many Dragonslayers are there?

There is something about the Dragonsalyers that has been confusing me. Everything I've read say that the Dragonslayers are a unit of 15 elite fighters. However, in episode fourteen, Van destroys 16 guymelefs (yes, my life is so pathetic, I actually counted them). If you count Dilandau and Migel, that makes 18 Dragonslayers. And if you count the 2 guymelefs which helped Dilandau defeat Allen (and were then destroyed by Van) in the battle at Fortona Temple, that makes 20 dragonslayers. :confused:

Yes, I know that there is no proof that the last 2 guymelefs I mentioned were piloted by dragonslayers. Still, any way you look at it, there appear to be more than 15 dragonslayers.

i'm taking a guess. I know that there are 5 dragon slayers that have and always been with Dilandua... there's Miguel, Shasta... i dont know who the other three are. on the movie, one of the three main dragon slayers was replaced by a new character.

I'm guessing that there are about 20? On some episodes... I didn't count... but um... whenever you see scenes when Dilandua is talking and hurtin them... there's about 15... and if you look further to the background, there's a few more. The battle scene where Van went mad and killed em all should give you a more exact number... unless you count the others on the first episode? ehehhee... sweatdrops*

The guys in episode 13 weren't all dragonslayers. And upon viewing episode 14 again, I only saw 13 Dragonslayers being killed.

Viole

or at least those are the ones Dilandau talks about when he throws the rose overboard in ep.15

I'm like 100% sure there are 15 dragonslayers. But when I watched that ep, I saw 14 guymelfs get destroyed which makes sense cuz I think it's Migel(sp?) get's killed by Zongi in ep 10.

However if you count the boys in episode 3, then it makes 18 excluding Dilandau, so surely they wouldn't just have a strange number like that so I would say 20....I got too mush free time :o

er..this is an old topic, but i have something to add to it...
in episode 3 i think (the one where Dilandau slaps Dallet and Chesta), if you count the dragon slayers, there are 16....then add in the two standing beside Dilandau and you get 18....so including Dilandau, it clearly shows 19 dragonslayers....just an interesting point i felt like bringing up

But what valid source ever said there were 15 Dragonslayers anyway? Who can ever be sure?

From the knowladge i have gathered over the 2 years of my esca interest i have heard of there were 15 slayers not including Dilandau, although only Miguel Labariel, Chesta, Gatti, Dalet, Biore and Guimel were ever named. That is what i know and is how i have always thought of Diladnau's slayer ratio. Hope that helps. Hell.x
