Sympathy for Millerna

Why doesn't anyone like Millerna? Everyone I've spoken to either hates her or doesn't care about her one way or the other. Sure, she is spoiled and self-absorbed at the beginning. However, she also shows another side. Her character is at the same time a tomboy and a romantic. And if it weren't for her medical knowledge, Allen, Van, and Hitomi would probably all be dead. Plus she's, ummmm, pretty?

I guess I like the "tv series" millerna. But that new Xena type millerna in the movie ... thumbs down to that one. :D

I think one of the reasons people don't like her is that she isn't too vital to the storyline. Just what exactly does she do after saving Allen in episode 9/10? Pretty much nothing. Thats probably why a lot of people don't like her. I personally like her, but I guess most don't.:confused:

Actually, as a competitor with Hitomi for Allen's affection, Millerna does serve the series by stirring up romantic tension. 'Course, I think she's a fool for not sticking with Dryden (series Dryden, I mean; not me). Look at it this way: at least she has a Useful Skill, which sets her above a great many other anime heroines... *cough cough Miaka cough*

It was Dryden who ended the marriage, not Millerna. Who knows, perhaps they'll get back together again someday...
