When Ramiel first attacked Eva Unit-01, how did it know it was there???
It was hidden behind a building, and it shot at it just after it appered. Unit-01 didn't even get a chance to move before it got him

He was on the lift thing to bring him to groung level, the lift thing should have stoped him midway up, and braught him back down again.
I'm pretty sure that lift thing isn't controled by Shinji, It should be controled by Nerv

How dose Ramiel have such a long Drill???
The Size of Ramiel's Cube Should'nt hold a drill that big.

What would have happened if Ramiel had got inside the Geo-front???
What would Ramiel act like a trogon horse???
When it got inside, would little Angels start attacking Nerv like the solders did when the Trogen Horse got inside the King's Castle???

I'll try to answer as many as I can.

The angel knew unit-01 was there because it automatically attacks ANYTHING that comes within a certain radius.

Ramiel could have had a Dirac sea inside it,that held the drill.The drill could have been the size of infinity and it still would have fit in there.

Ramiel tried to get into the geofront to shoot at NERV thus opening it up and reaching Adam.

now about the question, remember someone saying that Ramiel was built like a fortress? well, fortresess are supposed to be heavily armed and protected right? now with the case of Ramiel, it had the most powerful ATfeild ever encountered at that time, in addition to that, it would shoot anythng w/c moved. i have to question the "at a certain distance" thingy since it was able to shoot a beam at 01 when Shinji was supposed to fire the positron rifle.

It's an Angel. It can do what it wants. :D Saquiel broke off bits of itself and threw it to earth, Israfel could split in half, Bardiel had rubber arms, Armisael could morph into funny shapes, so why can't Ramiel have an extending drill bit? :D

Maybe it was drilling down to get to what it thought was Adam. Although the idea oa Trojan Angel is funny. :D

most angels have some amasing capasity to do something like Mr flapy arms has arounabout .5 of a km of ultra sharp metal which folds neatly away when not in use.
