Is Yui-chan a B**ch?

I had an argument.... My friend thinks yui is a b**ch. I love yui... i think she was just really badly manipulated by Nakago. My friend argues that if she was a real friend she would have remained faithfull no matter what. Any body want to argue in either favor?

Yui was just manipulated by Nakago. You see in that one episode (yes, my memory fails me here) that when she was initially held by Nakago, she believed that Miaka would come for her. But day after day, Nakago took advantage of her situation and told her repeatedly that Miaka betrayed her. Add the fact that time elapses differently in the real and book world and you end up with a lot of time for Nakago to brainwash Yui. She was in a fragile state and suceptible to Nakago's lies. Yui's no bitch. She cared for Miaka, as evidenced at the end of the series.

sorry, I hate Yui :p but I hated her from the begining... so...
true, she was manipulated, but I find her very stupid for believing in Nakago when he said that it was Miaka's fault if she was raped. I mean, how could it's be Miaka's fault? she was supposed to be smart, but I find her really stupid. ok, she was traumatized by her *supposedly* raping, but that's no reason to betray your bestfriend without a real reason.

when she heard Miaka saying to Tamahome that she came back for him, she should've understood that it was only part of the reason... of course she was jealous, but I wouldn't hurt my friend because of jealousy...

anyway, I really dislike her ^^ even if people brought up good arguments in other threads, I still hate her to death ^^

but then again, I didn't saw the end of the series ^^ I'm at ep 49 now... but I don't think I'll change my opinion because of the end... I just hate her too much ^^

Usagi, you know that Yui thought she was raped, not robbed right? I don't know if robbed is slang for raped in Quebec, but correct me if I'm wrong (I'm just an ignorant American ;) )

I think that Yui was already a *little* bitchy before the whole book thing, well maybe more rude than anything else, she said something to Miaka about her not being likely to get a boyfriend (my memory is a little rusty).

Anyways, whether Yui's actions were justifiable or not, it was still bitchy for her to behave in the manner which she did.

By the way, I never liked Yui anyways.

She's a bitch. When Miaka was ill, she didn't care, she just wanted to take advantage of the situation with Tamahome. And she is envious that all good things happen to Miaka, she says that in her song "Best friend" na no da.
