The ultimate tragedy of watching Ruronin Kenshin is that we, the modern viewers, know that ultimately history would have turned out not different in the least even if Shishio Makoto won the final battle.
After murdering thousands and bearing the cross for that sin, Himura Kenshin ultimately created a government of hypocrites, who in a mere ten years after him becoming a happily married cripple, would Rape Taiwan, Decapitate Nankin, Decimate Russian Social Stability, pillage the Pacific, and allied with Adolf Hitler soon after. The nation of peace and happiness he carved out of a river of blood was ultimately a lie that would be anihilated in two tempests of nuclear fire.
The heart wrenching tragedy of great warriors like Himura Kenshin is that despite their nobility, courage, and martial prowess, the ideology they spilled their guts to maintain would invariably betray them, and they would have to witness the betrayl in bitter sorrow in the impotence of old age and disability.
Another EXCELLENT example of this happened THIS VERY MORNING, after the Melbourne University Cinema Studies screening of "Saving Private Ryan." It was arguably the most touching, sincere and heartfelt statement of the sacrifice and horrors that the thousands of men who died to build our age had to endure.
AND YET, one FEMI-NAZI BITCH promptly stood up after the credits and said "It wasn't touching! It just grossed me out!"
WHAT IN HELL'S NAME IS THAT GODDAMN INGRATE RAVING ABOUT!!
Those HEROES risked their life and limb to PROTECT their families, country, including WOMEN, from oppression and tyranny!!
And what is the gesture of gratitude that you and your abberant comrades offer?
A WORLD IN WHICH RICH SPOILT DAUGHTERS OF PERFECTLY GOOD FATHERS CAN BLAME EVERYTHING, INCLUDING THE FRUSTRARTION OF HAVING THEIR VIBRATORS RUNNING OUT OF BATTERY, ON EVERY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL, MANY OF WHOM DECENT, WHO HAVE THE MISFORTUNE OF BEING BORN WITH A Y-CHROMOSOME!!
I hope I have made my point that since the world we have today is built upon the foundation of courage and sacrifice, that we give more gratitude and recognition to the warrior spirit that built it.
Good Day.
