Nice but one thing I'd like to add about her is that in the Manga she was a genetically created test tube baby. her father was Germany's most brilliant scientist and his sperm was taken and given to the most physically fit and smart woman they could find. This would make Askua a beauitful genius and could also explain her over inflated ego. In the anime however nothing about this is said so I am led to believe that her special conception was just added to the manga. Probably one of the things that Hideaki Anno and Yoshiyuki Sadamoto disagreed on.
