Macross Plus.

Do you guys prtefer the dubbed macross plus or the subtitled one.
I jus saw the dubbed one and i felt that the animation wasn't as good and they cut out a few parts so i was wondering if i was right. (just a thought of mine)

By the way, isn't Macross plus a cool show?

Personally, I just can't stand dubs. That said, the DVD version is pretty much the same (which would stand to reason). Did you see Macross Plus the movie or the four episode series? Because the movie version is sort of different.

But, you're darn straight that its a good anime!

The movie is only subbed and only avalable on VHS [at least in the US] . AS far as the OVA goes, I like them both. I prefer the music in the dubbed version during the battle between Isamu and Guld better than the Japanese music. Also, The sound effect when the Macross Plus logo appears at the begining of the dub is really good [especially with a good surround system using Dolby 5.1] and I think it's better than the sub, which has no sound for it.

But with that said, I'd go for the subbed version if I had to pick one.

i seen macross plus, since.. i think subtitle is better.. since it has more into action then our american version

I got the dvds and have only heard the dubbed one and it sounded good to me. The voices seemed to fit their characters!

I suggest the subtitled version to all of you who haven't seen it and have only seen the dubbed version.
Its better in my opinion, more action.

I have only seen the movie, and since htat is only subbed, it is the only one that i have seen. I cannot stand dubs, because of a company's ability to always choose irritating voices for characters. so sub for me.

well when i ws watching Macross Plus on DVD i kept swithcing back and forth from english and jap but i prefer the subs betteer

In response to your animation query, theres no difference whatsoever between the video masters. I'd say you have some dodgy dub tapes.

As to personal Choice with the movie its sub only so no choice there BUT my DVDs are a tough one. The Japanese VA's are superior to the dub in my opinion, though the dub does have 5.1 audio thus the action scenes sound so much better!

I watch both sub and dub. The dub wins kudos because of the DD 5.1. Too bad the dvd wasn't like the Perfect Blue one and had both in 5.1
