I've read Akari and Ryouga but I just don't think that's meant to be. I say that main characters would be with main characters.

Genma only gets his wife for one episode in the twelve-part OAV. Haven't seen Miss Hinako yet. So ... I would still really like to see them get a girl. ^^

Akari was a main character ... in the manga. ^^

Yes but I don't count her. I see the main characters as all the people involved in liking Ranma and Akane and of those people in both the Manga and anime the couples that Yoshi Chan said with Ryoga and Ukyo seem to fit together so well that I believe in them.

Does that mean Happy isn't a main character? He hates (or, at the very least, strongly dislikes) Ranma (in his male form ^^). He doesn't really *like* Akane. He just sees her as a female body ... ... So, is he not a main character?

You realy got a point YOSHI-CHAN, I belive that you see Happy more that Ryoga or Ukyo cuz they are NOT main characters.

Actually, that was my point, not Yoshi's. ^^

An' when I said that Happousai was seen more than Ryouga or Ukyo, that doesn't disprove them being main characters. I think that a main character isn't determined by how often (s)he appears, but how much (s)he effects the plot. That would mean that Ukyou, Ryoua, Akane, Shampoo, Ranma, Happousai, Genma, Soun, Nabiki, Kasumi, etc. are all main characters. They majorly effected the plot line. Why, even Doctor Tofu, who was only seen in season one, is a main character. After he made Ranma's legs collapse, Ranma and Akane really started to get to know each other. He effected the plot.

And that would include Akari, because she loves Ryouga, and takes Ryouga's attention away from Akane.
