I have read the manga all the way through and I thought the I's manga ended off really bad, the manga was well drawn in the typical high standards that Katsura draws in but the guy really needs to work on his story telling. It feels like he just doesn't follow through with his work and suddenly end things. Hard to really describe it without giving spoilers away for those who haven't read I's.

Other examples of Katsura's manga story tellling I thought didn't end too well or ended abruptly, DNA and Shadow Lady. Video Girl Ai wasn't too bad but it felt like it dragged in certain areas, but at least he rounded that series off ok.

The guy does great art work, but his story telling intensity seems to up and down, one volume it's all great, you're really getting stuck into the characters and the next it's really bland and boring and you're wonder what the hell happened since the previous volume was so cool, yes I know you get this with other mangas, but I feel with Katsura's artwork, his story telling should be equal standard.

he does need to work on the storytelling elements a bit...and i've noticed the abrupt endings in his other stuff as well (DNA^2, Shadow Lady and such)

well, love hina's comparison to I"s, then a comment about Masakazu Katsura's inability to create a sensible ending.

I've seen pics of I"s, but I've never seen the anime or manga available in English. :(

DNA^2 did end abruptly. I didn't even know that #15 was the ending until someone on this board told me.:heh:

I'd rather say that in some perspectives I's is the total opposite of Love Hina
--------------------------------
Keitaro never wanted to disturb the girls in their baths or stages of undress but always end up doing it by mistake.

Ichitaka always fantasize about seeing Iori naked but (as far as chapter 14) never got the chance.
---------------------------------
Narusegawa doesn't want to tell Keitaro how she feels no matter the numorous occasions she could've had.

Iori wants to talk with Itchikata and is honest with her feelings but she rarely gets the occasion to do so.
