When planing to beat Ramiel, they have to use all of Japans power to use the Self Propelled Positron Riffle. Wouldn't JA's idear to use nuculat power be better???
Yes I know that JA nucular power is for their Eva but why not hook up the thing to a nucular Powerplant. It would be more effecant.

Why would some company even have a Protype Self Propelled Positron Riffle???

If the Eva has to move it out, What could the FFDF use it for???

Maybe, but my guess is that Jet Alone was still secret at the time (it is not until a later episode), and JA is not an EVA, it is all robot....

As for the rifle, I agree it is strange that the JSSDF (Japanese Strategic Self Defence Force) has a weapon that size without something large enough to use it...Maybe they had a deal on the side with the company that build JA.

They would have been using a nuclear reactor, how would you think Japan produced the power used by the country. Maybe the JSSDF built the weapon just for the hell of it, afterall no-one else had tried to build a weapon like that or maybe they had money to spare and needed to spend it on something. :lol:

How much power did Misato say was needed anyway? I think you'll find it was a HELL of a lot to demand from one source at one time. Therefore, they needed multiple sources. Nuclear Power doesn't mean more output, simply a much more cost efficient way of producing steam. Coal power stations produce the same amount of power. So you see, the only way to produce (3mW?) was to combine all power stations. Megawatts are used and consumed by CITIES in a couple of hours - 3mW is a LOT for 3 seperate shots over a few minutes. There. I wont re-iterate anymore!
