How can you not like Lina? The other characters are all great in their own way, but Lina is the heart and soul of the series. It just wouldn't be the same without her personality quirks, appetite and questionable morals.

Zelgadis all the way. He had the killer look, the best back story, and you could sympathize with him when it came to his curse. Besides that, he had the coolest nonmagical sword in all of Slayers (which is even cooler with Astral Vine. ^_^).

...Gotta agree with Yuusuke, though; if you want a complete poll, Dolphin, Dynast, and the Lord of Nightmares herself HAVE to be on the list.

She's kowaiiiiiiii(shi).. Plus, she's really responsible too, even though she sometimes fail to display such characteristic due to her script. She looks a bit Balkan, but hey, that's good too. I like this character so much, I wouldn't mind if Lina turns out to be a boy, since she seems so under-developed. ^_^

I really like Xellos, but I don't like his looks. His character is awesome though. He know's he's badass and he shows it. Hee hee! Zelgadis is awesome too! Rezzo (original) was awesome during the final battle. Xellos is my all time favorite character though.

I've only seen the first half of the first season, but my favorite character had to be Zelgadis. He was such a bad man! I felt for him, and was sad when he parted the party. I keep hoping he'll show back up (please don't tell me one way or the other--I'll keep watching and see).

I love Lina and Gourry too--and Amelia really makes me laugh, though she can be annoying. But Zel could be the star of his own anime, as far as I'm concerned.

like a friend of mine i was just expectiing him to fall of his chair the other day he's the comic relief for the entire class

thats nothing.......a friend of mine in PE we were jokeing around before it was our turn to race so i just said " hay how bout you run home . and he laughed coz hes a loon ( his home is a few blocks from the school) ,the race started and i stoped at the end of the track ( and lost ) but my pal just kept running and ran out of the all the way home then sure enough 10 mins later he came back running like an idiot......i think he was doing his vincent run that day. and then in the next class (religion) he tried to do the Fijisawa jump of a varrand and hit a tree .......hhehehehehe but he feels no pain what so ever......everyone punches him in the head and nothing happen.


oh and some more quick stuff about him.

1) he is more flexable then an anime character

2) he eats more then the rest of my friends combined and dosent gain a pound

3) he dose a bunch of stupid stuff everyday

and finelly

4) i cant type his name coz he added 275 extra anime char names into the middle of his own....and adds more every day

My favorite character in the Slayers is of course Lina Inverse herself. She was a person who was so destructive but deep down she trully cared for her friends and she would do anything to save them. She was so determined to keep the Slayers world from falling into darkness, from being taken over by the Sea of Chaos. She's definitely one of the coolest characters in anime PERIOD!! Definitely one of my all-time favorites!!

A close second for me would be Slyphiel. I thought she was so sweet, and I loved her personally. She was overly emotional and she cared for everyone, especially Gourry who she had known for a time. To bad she was absent in TRY, it would've been nice if we had seen her more!!

Other characters I liked were Zelgadis who was a true friend to Lina and company, Guurry who even though always acted likea fool, he was always there for Lina in the toughest of times, Amelia who I think has such a cheerful and upbeat personality, its hard not to have her, and Xellos, who I think is the coolest Mazoku around. Filia was ok too but I only wish she was a little nicer.
