Who or what is Adam ? This answers someone's post in another thread about who is the 'giant of light'

Quote:

[Adam]
The first Angel. The giant of light spotted in Antartica. The rumour that Adam was confined deep underground below NERV HQ turned out to be false information. The giant underground is in fact Lilith. The real Adam is the embryo-looking object brought by Kaji from Germany.

This object was created by human when they restored Adam back to the embryonic state after they woke it up with S^2 Theory. This process seemed to be what had caused the Second Impact.

Moreover, it was stated in Genesis of the Old Testament in Bible that Adam was the first human created by God based on His image. There are many theories as to what the word "Adam" means. "Earth", "Red" and "Create" have been put forward as possible theories.

Adam was originally a giant of light. That would mean that God would also be a giant of light. It was the original sin that reduced his size and stopped him glowing. As I ahve stated before, Adam was a she-male, but God later removed the female aspect of Adam and created Eve. There is a being in Egyptian beleif of a being named Atmon? who was the beginning of life. There is more to it, but I can;t remeber. it bears a striking resemblance o Adam.

You would mean The Bornless, (or in Egyptian the Headless)
The one who created the Heavens and the Earth, who created the Gods and so on ( The creation story of Genesis of the Tora sounds very similar to this story, very similar indeed)
I see only a little resemblence resemblance to Adam (as depicted in Evangelion)

Still, there is something here.

the first god (egyptian) was atum or re who was born out of the endless primordial ocean. i think his father was nun.
atum was father of all other gods...nut, tefnut, osirus etc..
