How tall IS Vash?

This is starting to confuse me...
Ok, in the first episode, we find out that the ENORMOUS guy is about 12 feet tall. From that, I estimated Vash as being around 7 feet...
However, I hear that later in Trigun (or one of the info books), Vash's height is quoted as being 7" 20'. This doesn't work, since there are only 12 inches in a foot. So, what are we to make of this? I've seen it interpreted as 72 inches (6 foot), as 7" 2.0', or even as LITERALLY 7 foot plus 20 inches (8" 8'... yikes!).
Of course, feet in Trigun could be totally different from feet in reality (such as iles and yarz are different from our miles and yards). In which case, how tall does that make the enormous guy?
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Because no one knows just how far one yarz is and such, I think the '' and ' representing feet and inches aren't really feet and inches. But I like to believe that he is 7 feet, 2 inches. Puts less stress on my mind trying to clarify. :) moo

Yeah, that's the one I go with, too. So that would make Meryl... about 6" 2'? How tall does that make MILLY??? Jesus, it's probably 8" 1' or something... :eek:

I think a realistic height for Vash would be around 6'6", since I really didn't look that much taller than everyone else. Of course he could be 7'2" in TRIGUN METRIC terms, but I was basing my estimate on normal metric and normal average height.

What you've got to take into account is that average height for the race in Trigun could be higher than ours. Even if they are human, it's set in the future - and people are getting taller every century!

Hey that's a possibility. But i think I heard from somewhere that a hot climate sort of prevents people from growing real tall.. something about size and heat loss. oh well.

I did notice that if Vash was 7 feet, 2 inches, then everyone else is tall as hell. Milly is about as tall as Vash, and most townsfolk are near his height...

Hang on... do you have the DVD version of the first four eps? If you go to 'extra stuff', then 'character sketches', there's a picture there with everyone lined up so you can see relative heights. I think Milly is a little taller than Vash... but I'm not sure. I'll have to go check.

Milly can't be taller than Vash, since she is shorter than Wolfwood. That is clear from them walking together in Ep 11 (escape from pain).

...?!? :confused2 That's odd, I coulda sworn she was taller... but then I don't know how tall Wolfwood is. (Haven't seen any eps with him in yet.)

The only one who is seems to be short is Maryl. I've noticed how everyone else is a monstracity compared to her. And just how old is Vash? He was already a grown man when the one chick (the one who called him spot) was 3... weird. I know hes a humanoid but seriously how old is he? I havent seent the 8th DVD or VHS yet, but 7 was boring, also I can take it that Knives is the one in the Tank, that was scary with the screen panned down to the wrinkle. :heh: It's kinda sad knowing theres only one more to go and its all over. :bawling:

Well the SEEDS Project operators found Knives and Vash as fetuses somewhere in midjourney of their exodus. I dunno where, but they found em somewhere, lying down in some incubated place. They were identical twins, but Knives started to become unruly(see the eps.) and became anti-human . In ONE year, Vash and Knives grew to the equivalent of human adolescence (13 human yrs maybe). Which is why everyone else cept Rem started to call em freaks, cos they're not human. They're called Plants. In that 'ship that failed to crash' episode, Vash calls the power plant 'little sister'. I dunno if Vash is the same as a power plant kind of plant, if he is, then i say WTF, and then WTF again. Vash is more than 100 years old. I don't know exactly though. Moo.

I heard that Legato's left arm is actually Vash's left arm which got shot off by Knives. Aich. Seems like Legato got some fetish for Vash. He even licks the arm.
