The only anime series I love and own is Evangelion. Everyone says Lain is good, and the plot sounds interesting, so I wanna get it. Can i buy it in like Sam Goody or a store of the sort? Does it come dubbed, subbed or both?

But of course Eva will always be my favorite series!

you should be able to find it at Suncoast Motion Pictures.

Id agree with heart havok, NGE was my favourite, until i saw SEL.

i dont think i would have appreciated SEL if i hadnt have seen NGE though.

I look at the two series differently, and they have different effects on me.

Evangelion is extreme action however you do not really feel fear, or a sense of..."Oh ---- the world is gonna end like that?" Its not reality.

Lain on the other hand has action, but its not the kind that makes you go "YEAH ROCK ON!" Its more of the "OMG THAT CREEPY!" To me, minuse a few things of course, Lain is extreme reality. Making one think about the very way the live their lives. Evangelion never did that for me. Although it has a very intricat plot involving religion and soul searching, Evangelion just does not have the sort of impact Lain does.

I dont know about subtitle, i've only seen dubbed in the stores...but its extremly well done, prob the best i've seen. I love the voice acting.

DVD is the way to go, you have the option for sub or dub, as well as chinese subs I belive.

I have never seen NGE actually. But I enjoy this type of series. If you are a gamer and have played both Xenogears and Silent Hill you will be well prepared. This series is imho a combination of the thought provoking storyline of Xenogears and the intense horror and suspense of Silent Hill.

I highly recommend this series, and again... If you have DVD you must get the DVD version.

Hey Shigeru...I bought my Lain DVD's at www.dvdplanet.com. They have the best prices and selection of anime out there. I suggest getting it from them. :D
