Just bought the 1st DVD!

I just bought the first Nadesico DVD, and something else interesting happened, I met the first person in my life who likes anime!!! *goes nuts* too bad he lives 40 miles away and I dont even know his name, but he likes anime! SWEET! He said he only seen Akira, but hey its a good start! :D

Me: *daydreaming* I looooove anime...
Cash Register Dude: Cool, I like it too.
Me: WHAT?! YOU DO? AWESOME!!!
Cash Register Dude: Yeah, its wicked ----.
Me: yeah! so whats your favorite???
Cash Register Dude: Oh, I only seen Akira.
Me: Hey thats a good start! It's also a classic anime!
Cash Register Dude: sure was, heres your change. Have a nice day.
Me: Oh.. uh... yeah, cya..

Anyways, I am real excited to watch this series and I hope I get into it. Maybe it'll be one of my favorites. :D

Dittos for me. And I second the comment that you'll like Nadesico. The series is quickly growing on me and I must admit its one that I can watch repeatedly and not get tired of the plot or humor.
