El Hazard!

This series is great :) I caught the first two tapes at a friends house (all she had) and the next day I went out and bought the next one and i'll be buying more.

My main selections in anime are Lain, Eva, and Slayers. El Hazard sort of fits in the Slayers catagory as far as my likes go.

EH is a very well written, animated and Dubbed series imho. There is of course your standard good vs evil vs evil trying to turn real bad evil into good plot, hehe.

I love the characters, they all interact extremly well and not a moment goes by when i'm not either moved from laughter or action. And I think thats what I like about it and Slayers. It in itself is a comedy/fantasy no doubt there. But its never too funny that it takes away from the fact that there is a freaking Demon on the loose and shes gonna tare some shiat up if they dont do something hehe.

All I got to say is any series that has a Lesbian and a Cat that doubles as body armor has got to be interesting :D

The only El Hazard series I saw was 'The Alternative World' on DVD, which I found quite funny.

TV series or OAV? I preferr the OAV simply because I hate what they do to Ifurita in the TV series, but I haven't seen either all the way through. Damn it, Pioneer! Hurry up and release the original on DVD! I'm getting sick of waiting!

Hey, I'm a big fan of the series. And I'm totally waiting for the OAV release later this year.

That said I probably should temper my enthusiasm because El Hazard is very much like Tenchi (and I think they are made by the same people).

I guess that comment sort of gives away my taste in anime...:lol:

I guess I like the Series cus thats what I have...I'll have to look for some movies. But Ive seen 1st through 5th night I believe and its wonderful.

What is a good movie to look for? I'd rather not watch any of them that might spoil character progression or plots in the series though.

So whats your favorite Priestess from EH. I would have to say Shayla-Shayla, she spunky, cute, always in control, except when shes hitting on Makoto...then shes a bumbeling fool, lol.


Funny arse moment: Remember when some shiat goes down at the castle and everybody is freaked out and Alielle is sitting next to Shayla-Shayla? She acts all scared and jumps Shayla and cops a feel. ROFLMAO I think I laughed 10 min straight, it was so sudden...and then she just laughs and giggles... (she does this alot I noticed, :D
