Favorite Aragami

In my endless attempts to keep interest in the series up, I now announce the favorite aragami thread! Who is your favorite aragami, and why? And please, don't everyone say Kusanagi or Murakumo; they fall under the heading of characters IMO. My pick would be the pollen serpent from ep. 14. Why? I liked design, first of all. Also, I always find indirect methods of attack more interesting. Pollen so thick you choke on it. Nasty.

mmm. the television studio one sticks out in my mind. but the cat one that traps kusinagi and momiji in the time/space paradox was pretty cool too...

Question: ADV translates the aragami in the idol studio as being a willow tree. Supposedly it is in fact a ginko tree according to another source. The ginko tree would make more sense, as they come in both male and female varieties, which would tie in with the idea of the two trees being 'mates.' In addition, ginko trees are thought to be particularly magical in Chinese and Japanese folklore, and it is not uncommon to for them to appear in human form. Their intent in doing this is not usually malicious but to plead a case instead, as occurs in the episode. Ginko sounds more likely, but then why would ADV translate it as willow? This is all a roundabout way of asking if anyone knows the Japanese word for ginko tree. It should be easy to confirm or deny once I know.

well, sometimes dubbers take liberties with scripts because of frame rates and mouth synch. but since ginko is syllabically similar to willow, i can't say that was the reason.
