Hi all, I'm new to the list.
My names Edward, I live in California, I'm Japanese-American. Some anime series I like are (big list, kinda) Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura: Lum, Dragonball(subbed), Nuku Nuku, Slayers, Kodomo no Omocha, Ah My Goddess and Super Deformed AMG, Berserk, Tenchi Muyo, Gunsmith Cats, Magic Knights Rayearth, Yuyu Hakusho, Gundam, Macross, Sailor Moon(subbed), and of course Evangelion. I probably forgot a few series, though.
My favorite characters in Eva are. . .Evangelion Unit 01, Ayanami Rei, Nagisa Kaoru, and Ryouji Kaji.

Hi there!
before everything, let me just say this:
WHERE THE #E77 WAS I ALL THESE YEARS!?!
as i've said, i'm a newbie - of EVA. In truth, im already 20 yrs. old and it was only last year that i stumbled on NGE. Needless to say, ive been hooked ever since - I already own all 13 volumes of the TV series (subbed - personally, prefer to listen to the jap voices), although i am slowly completing the dubbed versions. I also own the two movies (subbed ofcourse) and am currently waiting for the arrival of my S2 Works collection. I even spent a whole night without sleep just to finish my own desktop theme!
what really puzzles me is that ive been exposed to a lot of jap anime since i was a kid. Ive been following the TRANSFORMERS and DBZ for quite some time, and have come accross numerous anime titles - but for EVA - why only now? - ahh, so much for that!

I too was exposed to Eva only last year and being 23 yrs old myself I wonder where was anime in my child hood... yeah i did watch transformers etc when i was young too...

My favourite anime is Evangelion(of course) I'm 15, male, have long hair (which comes out as personality characteristic in most people) and can, if pressed, hit a chord or two on a guitar.
All in all not much, but it's my life My favourite Eva character would have to be PenPen, who manages to express himself quite well with a one word vocabulary. That's about it. Oh, i'm told i bear a passing resemblance to Shigeru Aoba.

Me? well I'm a 17 year old male from Canada. My fav anime in unquesionable Neon Genesis Evangelion. It is the best thing I have ever seen. My fav character is Shinji. I identify with him soooooo much. It really cheezes me off that they don't show Evangelion on T.V here, instead I have to buy or rent them but like that will stop me! I have seen the entire series an am now collecting the tapes. I currently have 2,4,6,10 and 12.

I have several questions which I would like answered. No test, I would like answers, to.
Is lillith or Adam the first angel. This is still being disupted in many message boards. During the corse of the series it is explained that Adam is the first Angel then as the series came to an end Tabris revealed that indeed it is Lillith who is the First Angel?

Is Lillith is the first wife of adam, and eve or EVA is the 2nd wife. If Eve was created by taking the rib from Adam thn that would mean Eva is cloned from Adam. However if Lillith is the first wife of Adam then as the "Rabbis" litureture states that Lillith came before Adam.
So this is what is stated that;
Lillith is the mother of all the angels including EVA? Even the lillim it self.
Sorry these are just random statements glued callously together using lack of sleep and poor spelling.
Some other minor questions aswell.
1) Why was Rei seen at the start of Epsode 1 when she was in hospital wrapped in bandages. Their is no proof that Shinji was dreaming. It is said that another event much like this occurs in EOE however, I have not seen the film yet.
2) Thoughts or idea on who Shot Kaji.
3) Rei has a sole which must be past between her bodies as the previously onces die. Since she is cloned from Yui and Liliith (or Adam - want your opionin on that to) does that mean a soul was created just like dolly the sheep. For if the Soul of Yui exists in Rei how can it simultaneosuly be in Unit 01.
4) Why do all the pilots have the mothers soul in their EVA and why are they so youg. In the series it is stated by Ritsuko that only 14 year old children could pilot the EVA. However that would mean that in 1 years time they would no longer be able to pilot the EVA. If Rei has been training for years with Gendo he must of been aware when the Angels were attacking.
5) IF Gendo wanted instrmentality to bring him to his wife, and Seele wanted mankind just to be brought together because they though it wasd best for mankind. Why did Seele and Gendo have problems with each other. Why did Seele force 3rd Impact to Nerv. I mean Gendo wanted it to happen as well why didn'y Seele just let Gendo do what he wanted they would get the same result.
6) If An angel merged with Adam = 3rd impact why didn't Seele and nerv just let this happen. I don't believe in a good and bad 3rd Impact.
7) Did 1st impact actually involve angels, did a T-Rex deside that the whole planet's population should merge together or was it just a meterite.
