Strangled Auska

Why do you think Shinji strangled Auska then stopped at the end of EoE. Auska being strangled was related back to the idea of Rei being strangled by Naoko (Ritsuko's mum) why is the link made just because they are being strangled.
Did Shinji strangler her.... because she caused him to spill coffee on himself.... VERY inlikely this is how the series ends a much more deep and meaningful meaning would exists. Is it because of the love that Shinji had for Auska however when he expressed his feelings in his mind.... she rejected it and said that he was happy with anybody. Then if this is so it would also explain why he stopped when Auska placed her hand against Shinji's face. She was expressing that she also had real feelings for him... this made Shinji realise what he was doing.... that her love was real. Any ideas....???

I noticed that all through the movie Shinji was calling out for Asuka to help him. I remember because misato said that it was pathetic to ask for the help of a girl. Perhaps the attack is linked to how he hates how pathetic he is..

That strangling thing was probably because the being that he was left with seemed to be a combination of Rei, and Auska . She was bandaged like Rei and was strangling him like Auska. Since (according to my interpretation of the ending) she was a product of his desires and that Shinji only knew of an Auska that would abuse him she would do that. Much in the way that when he was having those psycho trips and saw Auska she was still calling him an Idiot. "Hey Shinji you idiot, don't you want to become one with me..." Your mind can only create what you have some knowlege of. Try imagining a new coulor. Not a new shade of an existing coulor but a full new coulor. You can't do it can you. Thus imagination has it's limitations to what your mind has percieved. As to his strangling her in that dream. That dream was a product of his guilt for jerkin off his cock and balls while staring at Auska's boobies. If somebody gets guilty enough and keeps getting reminded of something that they are guilty of they tend to lash out cuz quite franky guilt hurts. When somebodys hurting you there is only so much a you can take before you snap. simply putting it ikari's a very frustrated man, he's like so disillusioned...so afraid...(e.g the sighting of eva02 being torn apart by the mass prodns,misato dying and all.....he strangles asuka out of the sheer fact that he wants a response, someone to actually be able to hear and attend to him....which he stops when asuka caresses him and breaks down like a baby...just like his mom's soothing touches in the past(you must remember he was a very troubled boy in the past, he did witness his mom die in evaunit01...just locked it away in his memories.) My two cents worth.
