Kaji and Seele

Was Kaji working for seele, when Kaji kidnapped Fugitsu, he was brought infront of Seele all tied up. So whats the go, I mean he was after the truth and was one of Seele's lackies, but I though he was a spy for the Japanses Government, or is Seele infleuncing the Government, thus they are in control. I dont quite get it, that woman who Kaji always talks to, she doesnt work for Seele does she, I thought she worked for the Japanese Government, but so does Kaji? The woman with the cats showed a list of the people of Nerv and was surprised to see KAji new most of the names on the list, so she didn't really no much about Kajis orders, so she couldnt of been passing instructions onto Kaji, they seem to be from sepearte agencies, could some one infrom me on actually whats happening here? Thanks.

i think kaji works as a spy for the government. he also works in nerv, so he knows a lot about whats going on. I assume the woman doesn't know as much because she's just a government agent.
i think seele just used him when they needed him - he had nothing to do with them before this, but he was used because he was willing to do it to find out more facts and was in a position to do it.
just an idea...

I used to think that the woman's assignment was to uncover the truth about the Marduke institute, but I don't think that's true anymore, cos in the Magmadiver episode, you see Kaji and the woman in a mountain lift, and she asks Kaji about the freezing of Nerv's assets and why he didn't stop the offensive expedition.
I think that the woman is a government agent cos she isn't really in the know about most things, and Kaji works for both Nerv and Seele, but poses as a Goverment agent instead of Seele agent to throw people off his scent, like he did with Misato just before he shows her Lillith.
Cos, I'm probably wrong, but who knows?

Anyone else, with something concrete, these last two messages were going well until they finished with "Just an Idea" or "Im probably Wrong" lol. Does anybody actually no what's the go?

Well, he certainly works for Nerv, and it would appear he was working for SEELE as well, as well as the government.
We know he works for Nerv
We know that SEELE ordered Kaji to capture the vice commander so he works for Keel.
There isnt a great deal of evidence other than what people have said that indicate he works for the Government. But it seems likely that he does.
What is interesting is that it is only really Misato who did not know, the Dr and Gendo did.

All of your answers were right actually. He was working for all of the above. It never said anything about the government but he got info from them. He was after the truth and nothing more. Kinda like you Access. Like I was saying, he was playing them all for suckers. He wanted to know the truth so he aligned himself with all of the big players. Another theorie that I have is that it was he who cut the power to Nerv. It had to of been done by someone on the inside, he's on the inside. Seele had this done to gain a layout of the base by looking at the restoration process. He was the perfect man for the job. This would also explain why he was so darn eager to get in that Elevator with Misato. It would provide the perfect aliby for him. How could he of done it if he was stuck in an elevator. Also he was kinda hoping to get a little action while he was at it. The perfect plan. Cut the power and get stuck in an elevator. Misato being there was a huge bonus if you know what I mean.

Yeah their has been many shifty things Kaji gets up to, like when the angel that was composed of nanomachines, Kaji was hanging about somewhere that looks like an elevator shaft, im sure he wasn't up to, to much good their either.
