tough crowd....

Eh...I might be a bit rusty on the details, but i'll give it a shot. This is an introduction to the manga, and the anime may be different (I haven't seen it :() so don't berate me if I seem to be horribly wrong.

Basically, Love Hina involves this boy, Urashima Keitaro(sp?). Lil' boy blue here made a promise to some girl back when they were young'uns that they'd go to Tokyo University together. (is it tasty? Ah, just a classic Kaolla joke..never mind me.) To the present, and you have this nineteen year old Keitarou who's not having much luck in life. Through a misunderstanding and a generous grandmother, he ends up as the manager of an all-girls dormitory. (weyhey!) As you would expect, many strange "experiences" ensue.

I'll just sit and wait until someone comes up with a better introduction... *twiddles thumbs*

Well. . . what can you imagine with a boy (Keitarou) who doesn't know what to do around girls. Is then given a job around 5 girls with unique personalities ( a few short tempered ones ). And not to mention, the ever so pleasant out door hot spring that Hinata Inn is famous for (Hinata Inn = Hina, get it? Ok. ..anyways) Let's just say the hot spring is females only and Keitarou has to talk to them some how. . .errr well maybe. . .I guess your gonna have to read the manga or watch the series, which is strikingly similar, even though there are some differences.

A couple differences?.... Personally i feel theres a lot of differences... like some actions don't take place at all in the manga but they do in the anime... or some scenes have been shifted around... argh but that may be just be me.... but i think its more then just a couple differences. :confused2

If you are interested in the generic style of Love Hina, it may be in your interest to check out the Uniquely Japanese genre of Computer Games known as "The Romantic Simulation." For a good start try "Tokimeki Memorial."

Though be careful, for although the experiences of playing such games are rewarding and leaves you with a warm and fuzzy feeling:

1) Good Luck Trying to find a copy in the west, or in the East for that matter in the case of the original Tokimeki Memorial (it is a RARE game now in Taiwan.)

2) You'll be labled a lesbian if you are a female gamer.

3) Bloke gamers who are known or admit to participtate in this sweet and sentimental hobby more often than not carry the stigma amongst intolerant bigots as sexually frustrated, mastrubation addicted losers.

(Note, People who make such accusations are usually Hypocritical Catholics who do nothing when the Town Revren rapes their kids after Sunday School.)

But if you don't mind the above, be prepared for an unforgettable experience.
