That show kicks so much booty...!! I mean it, but the plot revolves around the forest and gods and demons and all that good stuff. I give that movie a hella high thumbs up. You MUST watch it

I think the reason no one answered is 'cause this has been asked a million times. ;) Yup, I've seen it, yup, I loved it!

I saw it in the theater… Had a bunch of annoying female teenagers talking through it though… Gave them chewing out in the middle of the movie since they wouldn't shut up…

But it was lovely…

I saw Princess Mononoke a long time ago and I strongly recommend those who have not seen this one to rent it; it's worth watching. If you hate, then burn in hell (j/k).

Saw it on DvD..

Only problem was that the DvD drive was shot and the computer had 2 be reset every 15 minutes or so.

I hate dogy DvD players.

Ewwww... That sounds horrible!

I remember... The first time I watched American Pie- it was on my brothers computer- and I had to move the mouse every 10 minutes- or the screen saver would come on.

I rented it on DVD and I must say it's very good. I can see why they call it the "Star Wars of Anime" Or something like that. For those who hasn't seen it, I highly suggest renting it.

I saw it on video twice, once in english, once in chinese. I don't understand chinese, but my best friend is chinese, and she translated as much as she could without disturbing the video when I was at her place.

i'll make a conservative estimate and say that most people on ab have seen princess mononoke. it's an anime standard by my reckoning.

as for me, i bought the dvd over the internet (before it was widely available in australia) for my brothers birthday.:D. the plan backfired somewhat though because my brother decided he really liked it. *sighs* but still, i can watch it anytime i want. i just can't steal it without him noticing. *grins*

This was THE BEST anime movie I have ever seen!!!!!

(actually it was the only anime movie that I saw, not including the NGE movies cause that's a whole different thing cause they make no sense without the series. But who'se counting, right?)

Isn't the art in it, amongst the best art in an animated film EVER!?

Jeebus! I still get chills looking at it.

And the music... *oogles*

There are certain parts in the music that I start bawling my eyes out like a lil b---- with a skinned knee!

I must say, the animation quality was excellent.

I've seen Mononoke-Hime two years ago while the Olympic Arts Festival was commenced for the Japanese Anime festival as a start of the fetivities. Quite memorable I believe. :D Though I love the settings, plot and storyline..though the english dub actors are ok.

but other wize they are cool, and the movie overall was ausome, mainly because it wasn't like the oldschoool anime, which is all pencil and paper, not as pretty as Princess Mononoke

Now that that's been established...

Most people wouldn't be in here talking about it if they hadn't liked it. But then again, we all like to say: I saw it i loved it i own it i wish i had artbooks of it and CDs of it.... ______ insert other items of PM there.

I saw it finally and was quite pleased, but it's one of the animes I tend to be really confused with whether to buy it or not, and so I haven't, yet.

Peace. V

Though not the best movie i've seen, its defintly one of the best anime's i've seen. It for sure up there with akira and ghost in the shell. I got it for christams and was delited (sp.?) with it! :D IF you're not going to buy, you should definitly rent it where you can find it! You won't be disapointed:p !

Princess Mononoke... Another one of Hayao Miyazaki's Ghibli collection. I liked it very much, indeed. In my opinion, the graphics were great... as usual :p

I saw this movie. I was really trippy, in my opinion.

Cool, yes, but trippy.

Not that trippy is a bad thing.

I just watched this. It's amazing! I like the 'disney' feel to it - in a lot of other animes you don't get that. The historical setting is nice as well.

Ahh, such a good movie... I used to watch it on the Action Channel all the time. It was one of the first 'mature' anime that I saw. When I first saw it as a kid, alot of things flew over my head, but now I actually 'get' the movie.

I own it on DVD. It's one of the best in my collection, it was probably the anime that got me truly into good anime. After my days of gundam wing and dragonball z.

No series. Studio Ghibli just makes stand-alone films.

I'd say wait for the DVD release of Nausicaa in the USA in a couple of months. It's the story that really explores the themes of Princess Mononoke in a different way, about a quarter of a century earlier.
