Blood The Last Vampire

I saw this movie at Sakuracon. This movie has to have the best animation I have ever seen.There were many areas in the film where I questioned if it was live action footage.

Anyway,this movie has great atmosphere.Imagine the suspense and horror of Resident Evil 2 and times that by 10: That's how thrilling and freaky this movie was. There is hardly any sunlight in this film which makes the atmosphere even more appropriate for the theme.

What I really liked was the movie's realism.People who are supposed to talk in English and people who are supposed to talk Japanese talk Japanese.

One flaw in this movie was it's short length of 48 minutes and 18 seconds. At the end I couldn't help but go "Huh?" even though it had that surprise ending. There were still a few things that I wanted explained. Blood is supposed to be a multimedia event which includes a PS2 game and a novel.Unfortunalty,those are very unlikely to see daylight in the US.

Anyway,has anyone else seen this anime?

I've seen it. I agree it has to be the best animation there is now. It took the team 3 years to make, and jus for 48 minutes of animation. They used real backgrounds which I thought was cool. I hear they are going to make a sequel, no a prequel I think of Saya's past not sure. Oddly, I found Saya attractive but my buds say she's scary.

I saw Blood last August. It was kinda nice, but I think they spent the money in the wrong place. I'd rather watch a good long story rather than a cool-looking one.

well it is out on DVD now, i should now becose i just bought it and watched it.

and since i came from the guys that brought us ghost in a shell, i wasnt surpised that it was so short.

atleast they got enough story in it is all i can say, becouse the animation might have been grand, but if the story sucked it wouldnt save the movie.

but if a sequal comes out, I'm gonna get it ^_^
