For anyone who has bought or seen the 2 Macross+ DVD's, what is up with the "don't do drugs" commercials!?!? I thought it was just so stupid to add those commercials to these DVD's. I thought they were joking at first, but unfortunately, they weren't. Those extras just about screwed up both of those DVD's.

I got a kick out of them, they were so out of place. But hey, it was everclear. Someone probably paid $$ to have them there.

I hope that doesn't mean Manga video thinks Macross fans are drug users.

I guess so since there's one on the Macross Plus DVDs. It's easily ignored if you don't want to see it.

actually, they put it there becuase they know teens buy the dvd, and most drug users start in their teens.

dammit! i bet ya it was for us doppey ravers that dig those sharon apple trance scenes.
hey think of it this way.....if it wasnt for shrooms, special K, acid, E or cheeba we wouldnt have those funky scenes.
well im not saying im smoking the budha bong, but im just talking for those artists who went through those drug addictions for there creativity and took it to the grave.
and one more thing!
you dont need drugs to rave but its just plain funny.

I think I recall something about the ads being put there as part of an ad campaign. I think Manga actually got a bit of money for it. I'm not sure though

hmm really, well i got the Macross Plus dvds and i dont have a dont do drugsthingie on it then again mine could be different from yours, they are also putting those in arcade games aswell . .

I thought the Everclear one on disc 2 was better :)
