Just finished watching this series

The adv dubbed version on the Action channel that is. I was very impressed with the latter half of the series. The first part I found rather boring. Doesn't hurt that I missed about 6 or so episodes thinking that the action channel was doing its usual show only 3 episodes.

I liked Kusinagi, a real good protagonist type character. Other than that, the other characters were not that intriguing, except Kome. Got to love a gun toting maniac female with Tiffany Grant's voice

I'm surprised Kusanagi-kun hasn't replied. He hates Tiff Grant.

Action didn't show the Omake theater's though. You need to see them, they're very funny.

It's a good series and I liked it a lot. Too bad more people haven't seen it. It's definitely worth seeing.

i gotta admit, she didn't do as badly as i've seen her do before... Kome came off almost better than i expected........ but this is the ONLY time i'm defending Tiffany Grant.

the way she said "Yegashi" at the end kinda made up for my years of hatred...

I admit at first her voice sounded wierd, now I love it. What is it you dislike about her?

besides the fact that she makes the characters all sound young? Although I cant imagine her using that voice in real life

When I saw Tiff's picture, it was nothing like I expected. I thought she would be a big goon, but she's small and petite.

i don't think it was the young-sounding thing, i think it was the bad Eva tapes that i had that somehow picked up all the high notes and amplified them, so all of Asuka's dialouge sounded like Tiff was screeching....

could also be that she's just a mediocre voice actress and yet she's in EVERY bleeding anime that i like (save some Manga Entertainment releases and Mononoke)

expect more of her since ADV is putting out alot of Anime and she is one of Adv's most used VA.

I like her voice though, she works well for some of the minor characters she usually plays. I mean even as Asuka she wasn't the main character. As Kome she barely did anything in the latter half of the series

She was shrieking in Eva. But so was the Japanese voice actress. I never understood why people complained about that. I even liked her Kome voice. If you missed the first half of the series Ghaleon, I can understand why you think there's not much to the characters. You really miss out on a lot of character building episodes that way. Granted they're not as deep as Eva, but they're easily a match for 90% of the characters out there in terms of depth. Nobody ever gives them enough credit.

Iam probably not the best person to explain it since I didn't see the first part. Basically you have creatures called Arigami that are all over the place and a girl who is destined to destoy all of them.

In a nutshell it's about the conflict between the Aragami and the TAC. The Aragami are a race of plant like creatures who want to exterminate man so they can have the world for themselves. The TAC is a secret government group set up to stop them while keeping the existance of the Aragami a secret. Then there's Momiji who is the Kushinada which has certain powers to stop the Aragami but it gets complicated there. Check out the "Thoughts on the series" thread and there is a fuller and better description.
