Hm. . .I really wanted to see him in the anime. Oh well :(

Well, I haven't read that much of the revenge arc (the manga storyline starring Enishi), so I'll let someone else say what happens during it (if someone will).

Yes, Enishi does come back in the Revenge arc of the manga to get revenge on Kenshin for ruining his life, killing Tomoe, etc. He looks really cool, too. The Revenge arc also covers the events from the OAVs and there have been rumors of making a second OAV series based on the revenge story.

I'm not even sure if they're going to do it, but it has been discussed. But I hope they do make it too, that would be awesome.

Boltarion

That's how he looked in the manga. I'm not really sure how old he is, probably around 23-25.

i've read somewhere that Enishi did came back to have his revenge on kenshin, and also Einishi was the one who gave supplies to Shishio. The battle ship that was destroyed by sano(i think) came from enishi, i forgot the address of the site where i've read the Revenge Arc.

Yeah, Enishi gave Shishio the Rengoku. I'm not exactly sure what his fighting style was called, but it's kindof the chinese version of swordfighting that was used to combat japanese. He fights with some sort of chinese katana.

wait, Enishi GAVE the Ringoku?!? - i didnt know that, was it said in the manga? or did they mention it in the series as well? :confused2

Boltarion

It was said in the manga. Enishi is never mentioned during the anime, except for in the ovas

when tomoe died, Enishi left japan right? and became a famous gangster. thats why he was able to give Shishio Renguko coz he was already rich.

oh, no wonder! but if Enishi uses a Chinese technique, Kenshin would have a difficult time fighting him - this is gonna be a good fight! i just hope they show it in a new OVA or movie!

hey Boltarion, what volume of the manga does it talk about the revenge arc, i wanna read it

enishi must be very good, coz when he saw kenshin's succession technique(kenshin used it to one of enishi's men) he said to himself that it wasn't that strong or not enough to defeat him.

ryezen

so did they actually fight in the manga?

ryezen, i havent read the whole part when Enishi and Kenshin do battle, but i have read some. they did fight, do u remember Tomoe's diary in the OVA series? it was a great help, in the middle of the fight Aoshi and Misao arrived with the diary(it was on tomoe's grave, wher kenshin left it) and kenshin gave the diary to enishi for him to read what was inside. i think enishi surrendered after reading her sisters diary.

nevertheless, i definitely have to see it on film! :D

Boltarion

Yeah they fought. Enishi isn't really as good of a fighter as Shishio, but he had one great advantage in his fight with Kenshin... when he was fighting him he didn't feel pain. All he wanted was revenge on Kenshin by making him go through the same pain he went through when he lost his sister.

i see... nevertheless, with a reversed-edge sword, kenshin is gonna have a difficult time with him.

hmmm... from what im hearing, this match is gonna be an emotional one!

emotional indeed!!!
