Angel Sanctuary

i just finished watching this, and i must say it was a pretty damn good and emotional anime. I just wanted more though, first of all the end left it pretty much hanging (but i still liked the ending heh) and i can basically see A LOT more story. So for anyone who has seen it and read the manga, how much more does the manga cover?
The characters in there seemed like they had a lot of potential developement in store, and there was quite a bit of developement for how short it was, but i felt they could have gone into kira-sempai (pretty sure thats his name) a lot more, and also the whole "heaven and hell" thing. I will probably get all of that more the second time through, but it seemed like the anime was great, but was almost meant to be a series. And i picture the manga being awesome.
hmm also, i was wondering how well known this anime is? It seems like its fairly well known, so maybe they will come through with a series or something *crosses fingers*

I have karekano fansubbed... and the group that did the translating job and the subtitleling did a kick ass job on it too. :D

I can't wait to get my hands on angel sanctuary too.... wasn't there another thread about this earlier???

Yea i just looked at it.....hmm still, i can bring the subject up again hehe.
The OVA is a little under an hour and a half i think total. Although it does come off a bit longer because its seperated in three parts.
And i assure you i will get kare kano before you bwahaha

I just saw an official trailer of Angel Sanctuary and I have to say the animation looks very good. Though I didn't like the music used. :heh:
The manga series contains of about 20 volumes, I guess. And the story itself is quite complicated sometimes. I'm really curious to see how they realized the theme in the OVA.

i have read most of the manga. i have yet to see the anime.

me with my supposed "one-track mind" according to Random1377, only first picked up Angel Sanctuary the same way i get started with all mangas i have not seen in a magazine. I was at a used manga store, I saw pretty bishounen, i bought it. It was confusing to follow, but addictive. The boys are so pretty, the story is so dark and angsty, its a wonderful manga. Yuki Kaori is a great mangaka.

I've seen the OVAs.. too short I say! But it's still pretty good, it has good graphics, nice colours!! Too bad for the translation.. it totally sux! :(

I'm still waiting for the manga.... i got it up to Vol 19! I think it's coming to an end soon.... i hope!! Otherwise i will go bankrupt if i continue on buying!!!

I really hope there will be MORE eps, cos 3 OVAs in 1 1/2 hours isn't enough! But then again, if they do make it longer, it's going to drag on and on.... which probably end up just like Fushigi Yuugi, way too long! :p

A.S OST is good, I liked it! Anyone else like it??? :confused:

The anime covers approx. less then 1/5th of AS’s whole story…..Manga books 1 through to the beginning of 4….While leaving out many of it’s best characters and ending just as it gets to the best bits. But when you try to pact something as complex as AS in a 1 1/2 hour OVA that’s what you’d expect would happen.

Maybe one day someone will make a TV series but it would have to be very long and like Fallen Angel said it may just get too long.

Note: Can people posting here please think of something better to name their threads in this forum. There is about 5 all named "Angel Sanctuary" and it getting hard to tell one from the other.
